A very basic, cheap room with no luxury touches at all. However, it is reasonable for a do-it-yourself holiday in a nice seaside town on the Costa Brava, with a large supermarket next door.

This is a lovely apartment hotel for those who aren't too choosy about the extra services. When we arrived we could occupy our rooms at about 3pm. The receptionist ladies both were very kind and welcoming, and spoke English well enough- this is a relief in a country where almost no-one speaks this language. The rooms were perfectly clean on arrival, however, cleaning service is NOT provided later on. (This is the only point I feel a bit sorry about) Neither is cleaning stuff for the kitchen equipment provided. The rooms were really quiet at night, and most of the balconies overlook the swimming pool and the hills, we had a lovely view. The lounge area in the hotel is well-kept and nice, with lots of loungers. I didn't try the pool itself but the other guests were apparently enjoying it so the water must have been pleasant. There's a supermarket near the hotel,as well, they sell cheap and quite good quality food. Overall, a pleasant stay, good area, maybe the price could be a bit lower but I can recommend it to others.

The Tossa Aparthotel is a good solution to live this beautiful little town. Unfortunately rooms are a little old style, and the space is not used at best (spec. bathroom).

Our room smelled a bit smoky, which was unpleasant, but the weather was nice so we were able to have the slider open. Also, there were several cats in the court yard and one of them attacked my daughter, leaving numerous scratches. Other than those minor things, the place was lovely. The pool was beautiful, and my girls loved the play area. The food was good, and the sangria excellent! The staff was friendly and attentive. Also, the town was darling, with many playgrounds and inexpensive places to eat. The beach was wonderful, too! Overall, a fabulous value, and we will be back!!

My husband and I stayed here for 9 days and paid €340, which is pretty good value for money. Our first impression of the hotel was that it needed a complete makeover as it was very old fashioned, all very brown and dowdy. The room was nice and clean but not cleaned during our stay. I was surprised to see there was no kitchen cleaning equipment supplied, which made it very tricky for cleaning pots and pans etc. However there was a supermarket next door that was particularly handy when stocking up on food everyday ... best buy 49c for a lovely bottle of Spanish white wine! Fresh towels were supplied every other day, which was ample for us and clean sheets on one occasion. Only one toilet roll is supplied but I managed to get one (rob) from the cleaner. The balcony was nice with all rooms getting a swimming pool view and the pool, which although cold, was kept immaculate. The most disappointing part about our stay was that the bar was so depressing and dreary and no entertainment not even a television was supplied. Again a bit of money put into it would make a huge difference and would pay for itself as people would use it. Overall it was pleasant enough and only 10 minutes from the beach. Tossa de Mar however was extremenly beautiful especially the 'old town' and we would recommend this resort to anyone going to the Costa Brava for a quiet holiday. For those looking for a more exciting holiday try neighbouring Lloret de Mar (a Spanish Blackpool) though this definitely wasn't for us!

Probably the best swimming pool anywhere! This is a good family place with little studio apartments. It is away from the water, but near a nice little wooded park and hiking trails.
