An extremely good quality large hotel within a suitable area for the age of clients it mainly serves. Food was good, Entertainment appropriate for the age group. When they have weddings and christening on (several over a weekend)the tourists were kept away from certain areas or entertainment was cancelled or later! That aside I would go back.

The Pez Espada is in a superb and quiet location opposite the beach. Although rated as a 4* Hotel, unfortunately room service and porterage are not available - as would be expected with a 4* hotel. Therefore the hotel should be downgraded to a 3* hotel. The Pez Espada needs to cater more for individual rravellers, with less emphasis on senior tour groups. I stayed in this hotel in 1965 when it was the only 5* hotel in Montemar, Torremolinos. Neverless I highly recommend this hotel for its superb location and good value. Louis Fleming, London UK

The Pez Espada is a good hotel right on the beach and very comfortable, the down side is the dawn sunbed patrol at 7 am when mr jobsworth opens the doors to the pool area be carefull not to get crushed in the 70 somethings rush for sunbeds, the best cure for old age aches and pains i have ever seen boy can these people move. Food good and varied with plenty of choice so all in all apart from the sunbed situation a hotel well worth a visit

The hotel is very well located near the beach, but difficult to find if you don't have a good map. The decor is dated but obviously well-maintained, with the ambience of a 1970's elegant Miami Beach resort. We stayed only one night, but would return again. The parking was included as well as the enormous and beautifully presented morning buffet.

Vindow glasses of main staircase were dirty from outside, causing a bad impression each time one walked up or down. Cleaning liquids used in rooms very strong, irritate skin. Otherwise everything was fine and proffesional. Thank you far asking.

Our Stay at Pez Espada was originally going to be just the one night. We both liked the hotel so much that we decided to stay another 5 nights. The food and entertainment were excellent. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definately one place that we will return to in the future.

The overall staying at Pez Espada was good and I would raccomend this hotel to both families looking for a nice accomodation for holidays and to any kind of clubbers or people that like night life. The hotel is big, the rooms have what it needed for a confortable staying: big confortable bed, nice and clean bathroom/toilet, air con, fridge, see views from all rooms. Facilities include several bars, a nice buffet restaurant and 3 swimming pools and the advantage of literally being on the beach. The quality of the food both at breakfast and dinner was always good and the variety of dishes was such to accomodate everybody's taste. Prices of extra drinks or other extras are very reasonable. The two (minor) problems I would like to point out are: 1) there are lot of steps around the place (in some of the halls, pools area, accessing the beach): carrying around a baby with a push chair requires continuous lifting and moving about where 2 people are required. 2) you have to pay a deposit (3€) for both using the safe (inside the room) and the fridge. The safe also charges 2€ per day that makes very little sense in the overall cost of the holiday but it's just a bit annoying.

My wife was impressed by the spaciousness of the "suite". I was quite content to pay what I considered a very reasonable rate for the comfort and space provided. I would highly recommend the Pez Espada to my friends. I want to make reservations on my return to Torremolinos on the 5th of June 2003. Please contact me on that.
