Hotel The Somerville - Torquay

The Somerville was awarded the title of B&B of the Year for the whole of the South West of England in 2011. It has boutique hotel style accommodation which range from luxury suites to economical standard rooms.

The Somerville is located in the centre of Torquay and is only a few minutes walk to the harbour, the town centre and to a a number of beautiful beaches. It has its own car park which means that guests can leave the car behind and enjoy the English Riviera on foot or else use the Somerville as a base from which to explore other parts of Devon such as Dartmoor, Totnes or Dartmouth.

The Somerville's central Torquay location also makes it an ideal base for guests wanting to explore Agatha Christie's home town. Torquay museum (where there is a permanent Agatha Chrsitie exhibition) is only a three minute walk away and Kent's Cavern and other sites that inspired her stories are also only a few minutes away. The Somerville also has its own Agatha Chrsitie library so guests can enjoy some of her novels during their stay.

The Somerville has a guest lounge and bar which is open for early evening drinks and a beautiful dining room which overlooks the front of the property giving guests wonderful views of the Torwood area of Torquay. Breakfasts are a full hour during the week and these breakfast times are extended at weekends to give an even more relaxed start to the day. The Somerville has been awarded the Visit Britain Breakfast Award.
