Very kind staff, but no English spoken. We used our little Spanish and everything was all right. Central heating did not work at night. We were told it would turn on automatically when it is really cold, but could not be turned on manually.

Hotel is a fantastic bargain, not much more expensive than a round-trip train ride from Madrid. Location is convenient just a few minutes from the cathedral. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful with anything that came up (check-in timing, storage, etc.) The bed / matress was adequate given the price range. The only major downside for me was the bathroom which was very cramped. I'd strongly recommend the hotel for a short stay. For a longer trip, I would want a hotel where I could spread out a bit more.

Hotel in excellent location in centre of Toledo but on a very quiet street. no traffic noise but airconditioning was a bit noisy. Basic hotel but beds comfortable and shower good. nice roof terrace with view over city. didn't eat breakfast in hotel - lots of places in town.

Thank you for a great, relaxing stay. The thoughtful approach to settling us in with a breakfast was wonderful. My wife, in talking with you later on, found out the history or your family and the work involved to make this a truly great boutique hotel. Muchas Gracias!

Hotel Santa Isabel is great and one of my favorites. It is about one block from the Cathedral, and has a roof deck with a great view! Great value!

The hotel is very pleasant. The staff are friendly and helpful . The room was comfortable (small, but the price was good), and the setting is beautiful in a quiet street. On the downside, the rooms are not well insulated from sound from other rooms, hallways, and courtyards. Fortunately, other guests were quiet and did not keep unreasonable hours. The ventilation heat/cool system did not cool the room. Fortunately, it was cool at night and it was sufficient to open the window a bit. But this would be a problem in the heat of summer.

Very nice hotel and located near to the main attractions. Only drawback is the lack of non-smoking rooms. Though the staff said we were staying in a non-smoking room, we found strong smell of cigarettes and an ashtray in the room.

The availability, price and ease of parking in a great location in Toledo more than made up for the relative small room. A really great deal!

What a beautiful hotel! Right in the middle of everything - near the gorgeous Cathedral, restaurants, store, al historical/religious sites, the Jewish quarters and many more. The rooms were spacious and very clean, with TV and the most beautiful balcony doors and furniture. There is a wonderful rooftop terrace from which you can see the city - it's like a fairy tale. The staff in this hotel is THE BEST. Everybody goes out of their way to be helpful and make your stay a pleasant one. The hotel also has a garage across the street which makes it very easy to visit by car. There is also a lovely restaurant on site which serves lovely food. I highly recommend this hotel. I almost forgot - the room has great working WiFi.

The hotel is a little bit difficult to find. A very nice local person has lead us a long way and help us find it. The room is not big but acceptable, just the bathroom is too small and the shower didn't work well. I can hardly get a bath there. One staff there is not so kind and serve a guest who came later than us and made us waiting. Maybe he thought we are not guests of the hotel.

When we made the reservation we specifically requested a room with a double bed because we were going to Spain for our honeymoon. Not only we did not get a double bed, but two separate beds, but also we got the worst room in the hotel. The room smelled, had no ventilation, was hot and without a working AC unit, the toilet did not work properly and every time we flushed it made a terrible plumbing noise, so we restrained from using the bathroom. We complained about the room but they told us that was the only room available. We had no other choice than to stay there because we had planned just one night in Toledo and did not want to waste time looking for another hotel. My husband’s coworker, Melinda Dillon, was staying at the same hotel at the same time we were. She was with her husband and daughter and their room was perfect, the complete opposite of ours. They had paid a little extra because they had a 3 person room. For all these reasons we do not believe we received the quality of service we were promised.

Santa Isabel has a great location, the staff are very helpful and the hotel has great public areas. The rooftop terrace is especially nice. The room was small and the beds not all that comfortable, but typical of Spanish hotels.

We were enchanted with Toledo..the Hotel was in the perfect location, enabling us to walk everywhere. Our best meal in Spain was recommended by a young employee on duty at the desk.If you are over six feet request a room without a slanted ceiling...my husband had to shave on his knees!! Many thanks.

Toledo is not a city for the faint hearted, if you are driving and getting to the hotel could be difficult in a car without Sat Nav. The hotel has some parking and it is at a reasonable price, but - since a space wasn't available when we arrived - we opted for the extra expense of leaving the car in a public car park. The location is excellent - close to the Cathedral, the Alcazar and the centre of Toledo. Despite being in an historic building, the hotel interior and rooms are bright, modern, clean, cool and quiet. Breakfast in the hotel seemed a bit limited in choice for the €5 price, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Don't miss the panoramic view from the hotel's roof.

This is a beautiful hotel, with very nice wood and ceramic tiles. I wish I could have stayed longer. Don't miss the roof-top terrace for great views and photos of the city. It's a 3-minute walk to the Cathedral and a good location. Highly recommended.

At least some of the rooms at this hotel do not correspond to the Venere pictures. We chose this hotel based on pictures of spacious rooms with period features and also a recommendation by Rough Guide. Instead we got an extremely small, dark, non-descript room. After persisting with several requests we were transferred to a similar style room but with more light and view of cathedral Also night reception man was quite rude - after beginning to check us in, he spent 10 minutes answering a phone call while totally ignoring us standing right there Suggest you try other mid-priced hotels in Toledo (our room cost 65 euros) to see if you can get a better price/quality balance
