Hotel Hostal Sol - Toledo

The cleanest hotelroom we had during our entire trip in Spain. Location was quiet but down the hill from the old center which would be difficult for older adults or those with mobility difficulties. However it was closer to the newer town and the park outside the Bisagara gate and only 10 minutes walk up the hill to the old centre for us. Only downside was the bathroom which had a shower so small you couldn't bend over to pick up the soap without pushing the curtain and had to be careful not to overflow the base onto the rest of the bathroom floor. But for the price it wasn't a big issue. Staff were a little short to begin with but otherwise helpful and provided a hairdryer upon request. Most staff spoke enough English to be helpful.

Very good location in order to make a quick visit of Toledo. The relation between price and quality is very good. This accomodation has an hostal and a hotel and our stay was in the hotel due to staff decision. Very good hotel.

I think that the location of the hostal is very good, but what I didn't like was that I found a lot of foreign hair in the bedclothes, there was no hair dryer and the receptionist wasn't too helpful and there was no

extremely convenient to everything you want to see, easy to park. nice and clean, simple. The AC was working great (it was our major concern)

Buon albergo, pulito, si trova vicino al centro storico e a breve distanza da alcuni importanti monumenti di Toledo. La zona è sufficientemente tranquilla ed è facile trovare parcheggio nelle immediate vicinanze.

NON-SMOKING!!!!!!! THE ENTIRE PLACE!!!! YES!!!!!! Just few steps from old Toledo - very convenient. Our room was clean and had AC (as we were informed via e-mail) that was preset at comfortable temperature (good thing since we had no way of changing it - maybe at the front desk there was a controller, but we never asked). Would stay there again and would recommend it to others.The lady at the front desk was most helpful and spoke pretty good English. We were family of four and on vacation.

Sol Hostal was a nice place for being in Toledo.If you like to watch TV while your in your room don't have great expectations because there are some signal problems (distortions)and there not cable TV. Don't be afraid with the street where the Hostal is, here apply the thought that first impression could be complety wrong. It's a safe place. It's a very private place, you keep your key-card so you don't have to left it in the front desk anytime you go out. Front desk personnel are frindly and able to help you with directions, etc.

Simple accommodations that are hard to find. If you're a rare clutch user and your rental car is such - watch out for the dead end that terminates on the Hostal Sol street! Turning around was difficult - especially with others making the same mistake. The front desk was friendly and helpful (some English). The location is handy for such a reasonable room (There were 3 of us in a triple). The garage was worth the money for care free parking - everything is with reasonably walkable ~

Staff was very nice and helpful. English was very good which was important to me because I was in town for a conference but speak very little Spanish. Located on the edge of old Toledo but old Toledo is so small that it doesn't matter that you are not in the center. I really enjoyed staying here.

Hotel is new, clean and not expensive. We were hosted at Hotel at Hostal price. Location is excelent and staff too. Hotel Sol is recomended. Hostal is in front of but i did not visited.

My son and I were very pleased with our stay at Hostal Sol. The rooms are spacious and clean. Some people may not like the tile floors, but given the warm weather we experienced in Toledo, they kept the room cool. The hotel is in a great location, near the Puerta del Sol. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. In addition, the hotel is just a short walk from the train station.

In a one month trip through Western Europe (Switzerland, Austria, Spain and Italy), this hotel was by far the best price/quality relationship we found. For the price of 45 Euros you would expect a dingy old room with an external shower/toilet. At this hotel you got a bright new room with beautiful interior, air conditioning and a very nice private bathroom and shower.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hostel.Rooms are spacious and modern and undercover car park across the road welcome.Car park fine for a small car. We spent only one night here but Toledo is well worth the stay. Best to park the car outside the city wall, walk to the hotel and get directions to drive in. The roads inside the wall are challenging (narrow and not well represented on maps from the turisimo)

Friendly owner/staff made all the difference! They were so nice and helpful and smiled a lot--not everyone in Spain that friendly to tourists. Rooms all newly refurbished and lovely. Bathroom large, marble and beautiful. Smallish room as is the case in Europe. Impossible to find with any directions on earth. Four times locals tried to explain, to no avail. Finally, someone walked us to the place!! Just hire a taxi to lead you there if you have a car! Otherwise, great place!

This is an excellent hotel, inside the walls of the old city and very convenient to everything you want to see in Toledo. Very clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff. If you have a big car, note that the garage is very tight and it will take a bit of maneuvering to get your car in. But this is certainly not the hotel´s fault; this neighborhood was built long before the invention of the automobile... We got a "family room" which worked very well for our family of four.
