Hotel del Cardenal - Toledo

Excellent gardens and restaurant. A lovable place where you feel at home.

The hotel location was excellent. The hotel was on beautiful and historic grounds and the building itself was a historical and wonderful. But the staff seemed very uninterested in pleasing the guests and it seemed like they were doing us a favor when they checked us in. They did not appear helpful in guiding us around town nor recommending any sights. It did not appear that they were fluent in any foreign languages.

Excellente staff. Excelent location near the scalators to the city. Excelent restaurant.

Facilities were basic/adequate. However,air conditioning & wifi not working - take it or leave it, was effectively the attitude of staff. Staff were competent enough, but were not prepared to make that extra effort which makes a difference to the guest's overall perception

My husband and I had a great time at Hotel Del Cardenal. Although the hotel is technically outside the walled old town, its entrance is just a few feet away from one of the town's entrance gates. There is a free public parking area in front of the hotel, where we left our car overnight with no problems. The hotel is gorgeous, and it's probably a delight to sip a good wine in their beautiful courtyard in a summer night (unfortunately our visit was in December, a little too cold to sit outside). The decoration in the common areas is what I believe to be the traditional old Spanish house style, including hand embroided table cloths. Our room (# 209) was somewhat small, but both, the room and the bathroom were extremely clean. We really appreciated the fact that the floor was nice and clean hardwood instead of carpet. I would certainly stay at the Hotel Del Cardenal again.

Most beautiful and unusual lodging in the wall of the city. There is bit of a walk from the street up to the reception area with stairs, but if you are visitng Toledo you are probably fit! Must go up the escalators to visit old Toledo; but the restaurant is lovely and breakfast was excellent.

El desayuno no ofrece variedad. La falta de cafetería para poder tomar algún aperitivo en los jardines.

Wifi internet does not work in most rooms because of thick walls. Plus it was down during our overnight stay. Parking a little difficult due to a religious festival
