Hotel Alfonso VI - Toledo

Be prepared...it's an odd trip to Toledo if you take a train, then you take a bus and then another bus...BUT when you get to the historic district of Toledo..you will be amazed at how gorgeous it is. Very touristy, but we decided to stay another night and the Hotel Alfonso VI was very accommodating.

The hotel was nice and good location but it was too noisy the whole night that we were not able to sleep, the rooms were facing a very busy street with cars, lorrys and peoplevery loud, it was as they were in the room sometimes.

On any view, this hotel may not be rated four stars. My room was very small, lacking even a light near the bed. The restaurant of the hotel has only a well worn menu in spanish and the maitre d'hotel was only speaking spanish.

Good location. Clean room. The hotel staff are kindly.

We've stayed in that hotel for the first time and would like to go back there for sure, inspite of little problems of the cleanliness of the room, which were easily solved. The staff is very helpful. We forgot a bracelet in the room, we wrote them e-mail and when we've returned at home, the letter with the bracelet was in our post-box.

Accueil peu agréable. Les "4 étoiles" ne semblent pas méritées.

We decided we wanted to be in the midst of "old" Toledo, and this hotel was perfect! The property is relatively small (less than 100 rooms, I think) but the location is fantastic. We opted for a "suite" which is really just a large room with a curtained off sitting area, and were very pleased with the quality of the room for the price. The front desk staff were all very helpful, generally spoke good English and encouraged my so-so Spanish. We'd stay there again and recommend it highly!!

Great location for visiting the cathedral and being oriented. Staff were very helpful in guiding me to a non-smoking restaurant.

We stayed in room 221 at the back of the hotel with a superb view of the old city, and there are apparently a few other rooms with a similar view.

We were there on Easter weekend and with a front room it was VERY noisy on the street outside. Otherwise it was a good hotel in an excellent location.

Hotel fine. Reception poor and not very obliging to help us park the car. breakfast not usual 4star quality.

Great position in a fantastic city. The view from our bathroom was breathtaking.
