The location is fantastic, it's close to shopping areas and there are also 24 hr convenient shop and restaurants in the vincinty. Though the room is quite small, it is good enough if you just need a clean room to rest, the bathroom is also clean and well equipped with toiletries. I think it's value for money.

The sunroute plaza is in a great position, close to shinjuku railway station, which then gives you easy access to any place you wish to go to in Tokyo. Excellent food available in kabukicho which is only a 5 min. walk. The hotel it self is terrific. Will stay here on my next visit to Tokyo.

I'm looking forward to going to Sunroute again. Perfect location, very quiet room. Our room was the biggest one even if for us a little bit little. In Tokyo we have been twice, and we hope to return soon

Excellent location literally just 3 minutes from Shinjuku station south exit/Yoyogi station. Very very close to shopping area, Lumine 1, Lumine 2, Mylord Shinjuku, Takashimaya, and Kabukicho area too. I travelled alone so the room is perfect. It gives me cozy feeling. Very clean and modern. I enjoyed my stay and definitely will go back to the hotel.

Great business hotel in an almost perfect location.

The hotel is fairly new (opened in 2nd half of 2007) with minimalist and modern look, with complete amenities like flat panel lcd, hairdryer, fridge, toiletries, etc except safe deposit box. The room is very small though, which I already expected for hotels in Tokyo but most importantly it is clean. The location is very close to Shinjuku JR station (and other private train services) so I must say it is very value for money if compared to other hotels. However, don't expect fantastic views from your bedroom, ours was facing another building and we could see the male toilet!

A great hotel, conveniently located. The staff speak fluent English and are efficient in dealing with all inquries. The amenities from currency exchange, movie hire dispensers to a beautiful lounge on entry to the hotel was all commendable. Good value given the spacious and cleaniness of room and availability of toiletries etc

Clean and comfortable hotel with nice character in very convenient central location. On the expensive side but what isnt in Tokyo. Also no wireless internet and only 2 computers with internet in the guest lounge, always a long waiting time.

It was our first time in Tokyo and Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku exceed our expectations. Very clean and very good facilities. The rooms are a bit small but the relationship between price and quality is excelent !! We recommend this Hotel wiyhout any doubt.

We found the Sunroute excellent value for the cost; the rooms were extremely well-maintained, clean and quiet; and their service could not be faulted. We really appreciated the use of the guest lounge with complimentary tea and coffee of good quality available 6am - 11pm. One comment - we stayed 5 nights and did not require clean dressing gowns each day but they were replaced regardless. For our environment's sake, this practice should cease.

First time to Tokyo, glad I stayed in Shinjuku and especially at Sunroute. The hotel is extremely modern with all ammenities. Staff very friendly, close to train station and all sorts of places to eat. Citibank next door, AM/PM market across the street, both of which are open 24/7. In fact, most places are open til at least 2am.

Very centralized location. The rooms were small but then again so are most Tokyo hotel rooms. The most important thing was that it was clean. We love that fact that it was only a 5-minute walk to the Shinjuku station and to many restaurants and shops. We highly recommend it!

Stayed 4 nights at this well-located modern hotel. Twin room was on the highest floor (14th floor) & good size. Facilities modern & clean. Huge LCD TV Screen - only english channel CNN. Money for value for Tokyo standards!!! Only 2 minutes walk across to Takashimaya & Shinjuku Train Station!!! Mcdonald's 24 hrs open just one block away!

i felt the service given at the reception is very poor. i felt unwelcome. he did not photostat my passport, he just ask me to pay for the room.when i asked for a map for tokyo, the guy rejected me straight away w/o helping me to look for it. so i went to ask another gal at the counter, she nice enough to find a map in japanese. otherwise, i love the decor of the place.

The Hotel is excellent for some day stay in Tokyo's modernest part Shinjuku. The Economy Double room is very small but enough if you do not want to spend days in the room. The hotel is located just 300 meters from the South Exit of Shinjuku Station, so do not wait on the airport for the afternoon (14:00) Limousine Bus, but go to the station. The Internet connection is quiet fast there and the breakfast was also ok. I would book this hotel again!

Small but comfy rooms

This hotel is extremely central and easy to find. The reception is lovely as is the guest lounge (with sofas/internet/plasma etc) and the bar on level 2. The security is good as you need to swipe your key card to use the guest lounge and the elevators. The room was quite small, but it was comfortable and clean with room service making over the room each day. Overall I would definately recommend.

I often stay at this hotel, it is a good hotel at a reasonable price. It is centrally located and very close to the train and bus stations.

Excellent location, great staff. The staff is very helpful and all speak very good English. My only comment is that they need to put a little variety in the breakfast. After a couple of days I stopped eating it due to lack of variety.

While this hotel isn't part of any of the internationally recognized chains that you can find in the area, I booked my room based upon Tripadvisor's rating it #2 of all the hotels in Shinjuku and I am very glad I did. For the price the room was far larger than I was expecting. The hotel may be categorized as a "business hotel" but the room I booked (queen sized bed, 19 m^2) was far larger than I have experienced before in other Tokyo business hotels. There was plenty of room to lounge around (but only one desk chair), the bathroom wasn't cramped (the bathtub was on the small side) and the view was very nice since I was lucky enough to get a corner room (only one window). The only drawback to the room was there was not a dresser or closet to store my clothes in (there is a rack hangers on the wall), merely a single luggage stand (expected in a business hotel). The service was excellent and I especially appreciated the multilingual desk staff so I didn't have to rely too heavily on my very basic Japanese. The on-site restaurant and bar are fairly standard fare for the price but I didn't stick around long since I was more interested in what was outside the hotel than in since the location was excellent. Though I took the Airport Limousine (merely a bus) directly from Narita to the hotel I could have just as easily taken the N'EX to the Shinjuku station and walked the rest of the way in about five minutes (I didn't want to wheel around my overpacked bags). The JR Shinjuku station is about two blocks away and easily connects you to all the major locations in Tokyo (so long as you can handle the crowds during peak hours). There is a Citibank ATM right next door and a Mizuho branch that handles foreign exchange on the third floor just a block away (if you have any USD or Traveler's checks). Altogether a very satisfying stay.

Our experience at the Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku was a very pleasant one. The accommodations were great, check-in was quick and easy, and I only wish we could have stayed longer. I hope to be able to return to this property again in the future.

This was an excellent place to stay. The hotel and room were nice and clean. The room itself was very small, but I knew that in advance and didn't really care since I was planning on being out of the room as much as possible. The bed was very comfortable and the shower/bathroom was fine. All necessary toiletries were included and waiting in the room. Also included were some room slippers and a nightgown. The room had a view of another office building, so that was a little dissapointing, but again not that big a deal. The staff was helpful and courteous.
