The surronding and decoration of hotel are veru good, and staff are nice and helpful. It will be better if shuttle bus to town centre is provided, as the hotel is far from centre and it is very very difficult to catch a taxi at town centre back to hotel, unless you know Italian to call a taxi as taxi will not drive around to let you catch. But in sum, this is a nice hotel, and the town Tivoli is very nice with 3 major villa of different nature (splendid, waterfall, or delicacy respectively) for you to visit.

Beautiful experience, kindly personal. I would suggest an air conditioned less noisy in the room. There have been 2 weddings during our stay, one for lunch and one in the evening so it was diffucult to park the car and we had the room on the court side, where there were the people who have made noise till 1:30 a.m. and our window was open so a little bit disappointing. There weren't a lot of rooms booked so I suggest to the hotel to give to their guests, when they have weddings in the evening, rooms not facing the courtyard. I must say that we have found the best recepcionist among others and we have travelled a lot.

Cold reception, air conditioning didn't work, horrible sewage smell in the middle of the night in the bathroom. Place is beautiful, but needs some upgrading and attitude adjustment to rate four stars.

We stayed here in late December, the hotel is set on a hill a little way from the town, with stunning views over Tivoli and onto Rome. It was very quiet and suited our romantic weekend visit.

I booked this hotel with some hesitation after reading the comments on the site - but I decided that I liked the look of the hotel and the location and that I would put up with powdered beverages, plastic plates, unfriendly staff and holey pillowcases if necessary. Imagine my surprise to find a perfectly pleasant four star hotel. The hot drinks at breakfast included an immaculate (proper Italian) hot chocolate, everything was served on Torre S Angelo china, the staff were extremely professional and welcoming and the bed linen included a very swish monogrammed bedspread. Yes, it is a long walk in the dark up the hill and I must admit that I ate in the hotel restaurant both nights I was there - but that was no hardship and the amazing views make the climb worthwhile.

Torre Sant'Angelo was an EXCELLENT hotel! I enjoyed my stay very much. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others going to Rome but want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In the hills over-looking Tivoli, it is a beautiful place. However, since it is just out of the city, and up in the hills, one definitely needs a car; very dangerous to walk anywhere from here however. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers!!! :-)

Second visit to Torre Sant'Angelo. The location is is very quiet, high on the hill overlooking Tivoli with just an occasional passing train to disturb. The room was getting a little tired, bath was chipped. Excellent pool with area to lie out.

The property, room, location were excellent. The Reception Staff would benefit from customer service training. The breakfast was rather plain.

The bar was closed. The restaurant was closed. The breakfast buffet was poor, not even any bread. Very disappointing. Do not use this hotel in August. It is virtually closed.

Very nice, well located and well refurbished hotel but service desperately poor! Staff desagreable or non existing (for instance, travellers are expected to carry their luggage; no help is being supplied, due to an almost complete lack of staff); no indication of any kind given at the arrival (consequently, for instance, most of the travellers arrived for breakfast after the closing of service!). Bar and restaurant closed from 4th to end August, ie at the peak of tourist season! It could have been a marvellous stay, if a decent level of service had been supplied.

The hotel is way overpriced for the services it offers. It states on the folder in the room that one day of the week the dining room is closed but they cannot say which day. Of course it happened on the one day that we were there, which was a day with very few guests. We then had to drive to town for dinner, luckily we had our own transport. The next morning we wanted breakfast but they said the kitchen was broken!! We got served on a tray on a low table next to reception. We had to ask for cutlery and coffee. No plates were provided and by this time we were tired of asking for everything as it was taking some time to complete breakfast, so we used the table to butter our bread. The air-conditioning was on but no cooling was provided. we suspect that the fan was on but the cooling was switched off to save electricity. The hotel was staffed by one or two people. We were "served" by the receptionist.

The night we stayed, there was a wedding party, which started around 21.00. What staff they had was focused completely on this event. Our evening meal, the food was good, was served by a waiter who would have failed the interview at Fawlty Towers. Coffee was not available at the end of our meal and we were directed back towards our rooms via an unlit lobby and accross an unlit courtyard Large old hotels tend to use their larger spaces for functions, if you go here, avoid the waiter and check if they have any functions on the relevant nights

A magnificant place with a courteous staff. Food is outstanding. Air Conditioning was not turned on and our room was a sauna. Night desk clerk was of no help. Reaching this place by car is a nightmare through crowded and chaotic roads. Directions are poor. All taht said we throughly enjoyed the facility once we arrived, the view is amzing and we would like to return

This castle like structure nestled in the hills above Tivoli was an excellant addition to our trip. This was a taste of real Italy. We arrived to a warm greeting, a large comfortable room and beautiful courtyard to sit and sip coffee and wine. We were also able to see a wedding reception taking place at the hotel, set around the pool. We have already recommended this hotel to friends that will be visiting Italy this year and next.

Cuidado con la piscina, vi como echaban el cloro a chorros sin dejar aviso. Cosa que podría explicar la infección de orina importante que me traje. Un desastre.

This is a beautiful hotel, with stunning surroundings. However, it is further out from town than we expected. 20 minute walk uphill (not fun if you don't have a car). The restuarant is relatively pricey, but good food - expect to eat here if you don't want to drive/walk. The building is well appointed though our double room was a bit cramped. I thought little things like having to pay 2.60 euros for a towel for the swimming pool was a bit excessive. Front desk was somewhat helpful - may be that English was not the best. Would not rush back, as I had hoped for a little more luxury, given that it is one of the most expensive in town.

About 800m outside Tivoli at the top of a hill, the hotel is in a very peaceful location. Sitting by the pool watching the sun set over Tivoli is magical. Rooms are a good standard of comfort.
