The parador is unfortunately situated just off a main road out of Teruel and the grounds are incredibly noisy -- odd given that there is open countryside on 3 sides....

The parador is unfortunately situated just off a main road out of Teruel and the grounds are incredibly noisy -- odd given that there is open countryside on 3 sides. The hotel was constructed in the 1950's and appears not to have been updated since the 60's -- furniture, lighting, accessories are all institutional-seeming and charmless. However, the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the food and wine selection are much better than the sanitorium-like surroundings. Get a decorator in there and give the place a face-lift!
