Hotel Residencial Marés - Tavira

Excellent location, room with balcony overlooking the river, also a roof terrace. Very good value for money (breakfast included). The staff were really attentive and friendly. The only downside of visiting in January was that the room was freezing - the aircon doubled as a heater and couldn't cope.

Quaint residence on riverside. Good value for money, though a little disappointed to find that 'room with view' doesn't mean it overlooks to river, but the roof tops to the rear. Also, the 'minibar' is an empty fridge(!) Other than this the staff are very friendly and helpful, and we would happily visit Tavira and stay at this hotel again.

Cute little pension, conveniently located. Pleasant staff. Adequate breakfasts (sliced cheeses, meats; fruit, bread, yogurt, cereal, "juice". Coffee not that great...) Room had a nice balcony w/view to the water.

This hotel,although in a good location on the riverfront, is in serious need of redecoration. Both the exterior and interior are very tired looking. The rooms, however, are a good size and very clean but not "exceedingly pleasant" as our guidebook stated!

At 65 € for a very ordinary room, with 2 single bed instead of one twin bed. old and noisy bed, seems to fall down at each movement.. just a street with restaurants, openned late.. lot too expensive for the quality of this stay.

Nice hotel right on river bank facing fisherman boats. Nice terrace on the roof with great view on the surrounding roofs.
