Although this town is nothing to write home about, the surrounding Chianti countryside is absolutely beautiful. Take a drive in any direction and soak up the beauty! What made our stay at this hotel special was the interaction we had with the full of personality owner/hostess Katie, and the wonderful meal she orchestrated for us from her kitchen.

Hidden gem for budget traveller. Good value for money due to authentic location and personal attitude. No lift (2 floors only) and not all the rooms get enough sunlight. Try to use the restaurant downstairs as much as you can. Katia Torresi the owner of the hotel & the restaurant is wonderful.

Awesome place to stay. There are no words for Katia, the owner. She is simply amazing. We were very satisfied with our stay, we didn't want to leave! Definite recommendation from me. Iwould stay there again, no doubt.

Originally we were booked for 2 nights, but after meeting Katia (the owner)and her mother we decided to stay 2 more days. Our room was very spacious with a patio and balcony, even for three adults. The breakfast-buffet and dinner were really good. Make sure to make a reservation for dinner if you are planning to eat before 20:30 hours.

Katia did not dissapoint. She was very good. Even though the building is very old, the room was nice. The remote control AC unit worked great. The restaurant was great, but make a reservation before you get there. We had to look around town for food our first night because they were packed. Negatives: No elevator, stairs are a must. Even though this little town is in the middle of quaint Tuscany, the hotel is in the middle of this little town and isn't particularly quaint. Parking is hit or miss. This hotel was good.

Zum Hotel gehört ein excellentes Restaurant, welches auch in der Umgebung sehr beliebt ist. Deshalb ist eine Tischreservierung unbedingt nötig.

We were staying at Vittoria for 4 days and this was our best accommodation in Italy. The room was very clean and airconditioned. A lovely small balcony. Breakfast was unexpectedly generous and tasty. A very good restaurant downstairs. You should care about ordering a dinner because it is very popular. But above all was our hostess Katia. She is something special. We enjoyed every moment of our communication with her. We feel surrounded by her care all the time. If we are back to Tuscany sometime we will surely stay at her hotel.

Don't expect Tavarnela to be little tuscan village. It's a small town, and the hotel is right on the main street. The hotel is nontheless charming, with a very nice tuscan restaurant downstairs, a very good breakast, a unique staff comprised only of women, and above all - Katia, the owner - well, she was the number one atrraction on our little trip to Italy!

We could not have asked for more welcoming or friendly accommodation. Katia (the proprietor) and her family and staff were exceptional in that we were treated as almost family members. We would not hesitate to return or to recommend this Hotel to others.

on our three week holiday in italy we stayed atseven different accomodations, this by far was the best. Katya went out of her way to make us feel right at home and provided services and information that made our stay very pleasurable. We would stay there again gladly.

We arrived this hotel on July 24th, very hot at that time. The room was cleaned and charming but no air conditioner. Even we opened the window at night but still hot and mosquitos surrounded all night!!! I recommend their restaurant, they have very delicious tuscany food. I will visit this hotel in the future absolutely but not on summer any more.

It's a wonderful place in a quiet small town close to main road to Florence and Siena. Good restourant is downstairs. A lot of tourist information and a very pleasant and welcoming hostress Katty. It's a wonderful highly recommended place!

We received an extremely warm welcome at Hotel Vittoria and were most impressed with the plentiful breakfast(served in the adjoining restaurant)The hotel is situated on a very busy road so I would recommend asking for a room facing the back of the property. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

We got a warm welcome after a long drive. The breakfast was more than the usual roll and coffee. The room was spacious and clean.some noise from the street in the a.m, but not too bad. Shower with massive water pressure. The host speaks english, german, french and she says her russian is coming along, too. She's great,You'll like it here.

The friendliest staff and owners I have ever encountered. Will stay here again when in Tuscany. Slightly noisy in the morning as the hotel is on the main street in Tavernelle and only 3 stories tall...but everything else was fantastic, as is the food. The price for a double room is an exceptional value.
