Our room was clean and comfortable. The gardens surrounding the hotel were beautiful and the pool was lovely. A car is required to visit Tarquinia in the evening. Otherwise, public transportation to the city is only by bus. Very nice breakfast and very attentive service.

it is absolutly unacceptable that the management of this hotel did not speak one foreign language besides italian. some of the lower staff tried hard to compensate by being friendly. the quality of the food vs the price we had to pay in half board was very poor.

The hotel had a large wedding party and services for other guests were limited. Room was very small. Parking was relatively secure and hotel grounds were well kept. The town was lovely with many restaurants in the beach area.

despite the presence of fan units in the rooms, our accomodations as well as the breakfast area were ICE COLD. The price we paid is totally a rip off for freezing our rear ends off. The breakfast rolls were stale. The hotel should stay officially closed for the winter or they should turn on the hot water radiation system to treat their guests properly. Please advise your clients of this information, and ask them to send us a full refund.

The rooms can't really server any other purpose the being a base for sleeping and washing but the lush grounds are a pleasure as is the quality of the restaurant. I used Velcamare as the basis for a trip til the Etruscan sites where it serves well. However, I'm not convinced that a stay for a week would be a pleasure but that is due to the lack of quality in the town and beach rather than faults at Velcamare.

The hotel was excellent. Some of the staff were not willing to try to communicate and this could have been interpreted as rudeness. I appreciate language and our inability to speak Italian was a problem. Other staff members did try very hard.
