Visit was unsatisfactory as Suite was very disappointing in size and layout and not worth the price. Also this room and several adjoining ones had unpleasant smell of bad drains. Breakfast food was very modest. Swimming pool was cold (August). Exterior of building was in need of decoration. Interior was cramped and dark. Reception staff were pleasant but Manager/Owner was very stubborn and awkward to deal with when we wished to move to his sister hotel and tried to insist on us paying him compensation for moving. We found other hotels offering much better facilities at cheaper prices so would never return to Villa Riis again.

How to reach Hotel Villa Riis

By car
From the A18 Messina-Catania highway, take the Taormina exit then follow the signs to Taormina centro. After the Lumbi multi-story car park, turn right, take the Monte Tauro underpass and follow signs to the city centre. After 20 metres/22 yards you will see the hotel on the right, just before the Porta Catania gate.
