Hotel Villa Paradiso - Taormina

Hotel pluses: wonderful view from common breakfast area, good substantial breakfast and,wonderful pool area BUT our room was sub-standard for the price. bathroom was not vented well and had a constant odor, bathroom fan squeaked and needed a good dusting, the blinds were old and dusty, as were the curtains. There was only parking for 3 cars, no room safe and no refrig in room.It really needed a complete redo and the balcony, while nice, held only 2 chairs squeezed side by side.The staff was friendly and kind but we felt we were given the helps spare bedroom.

We stayed in 12 hotels in 28 days and this was by far the worst experience of all. this hotel is the worst 4 star hotel i have ever experienced.

Location was ideal, within close walking distance to the main street, right next to the city park, quiet and with great view of the ocean and Mt Etna. The room was very clean and lovely.

The views of Mount Etna, Taormina, and the sea from the Villa Paradiso are fantastic. The room was comfortable with a wonderful balcony that opens to the wonderful sights. We found the staff to be warm and helpful and they clearly are used to tourists. I would happily return to Taormina and to this hotel. The breakfast on the top floor is very good. The only limiting factor is that the WiFi and other Internet connection must be used in the lobby and it must be paid for at fairly high rates. Also parking is limited and must be paid for at a near by garage.

Ideal location within the city and in the neighbourhood of the park and the greek/roman theatre.

Through the venere.com website I booked a room for 4 persons. On arrival, the staff didn't know about this fact and thought we were only 2 persons. Kinda less than perfect communication.

Fantastically positioned overlooking Etna and the southern coast. Wonderful view. Difficult to find, but Taormina is complicated. Sitting and bedroom, bathroom with a view. We considered ourselves lucky to have such a place to stay in Taormina. It is within easy walking of the main streets. restaurant on the highest floor.
