Although we thought we would never get here...wow...was it worth the drive! Magnificent setting! And the Staff was some of the best in our month long trek through Italy. For sure we would come back here!

Customer service is outstanding, the personnel focus on delivering excellent customer care. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and we had a beautiful view from the Etna Suites. Shuttle services are available from the hotel for a small fee. Beautiful but steep walk from the hotel to town and back, so if you are not fit, you will struggle, but there again the frequent shuttle services from the hotel makes it easy! Highly recommended hotel.Quiet and serene surroundings. Not recommended for couples with young kids

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Villa Angela and it was the highlight of our Italian vacation. We felt like we were at home and the staff was excellent. We would definitely return to the Villa Angela and would recommend it to friends and family. Thank you, Katherine, for making us feel welcome.

I stayed at Villa Angela in April 2009. I must say it was a fantastic hotel with a marvelous view towards Taormina and Mount Etna! The room was spacious, the employees always smiling and helping - the food very good. The shuttle service worked out very well, and the whole atmosphere of the hotel absolutely superb!

Stayed here for 2 nights in April and had a fantastic time. Stunning views of Etna, lovely rooms with balcony, very friendly and hospitable staff and a very good breakfast. Taormina is lovely and well worth a visit. You can walk into town via a large number of steps (300-400) so you need to be reasonably fit (or less than a 5 minute drive). Only minor negative was the pool was closed in April. We have stayed in some very nice hotels in Italy and this is definitely one of the best.

A great holiday in a wonderful place with a fantastic view. The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful. The hotel is probably more suited to adults without children. The parking space is limited. The use of the hotel bus was essential for the return uphill to the hotel. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

My experience at the Villa Angela was wonderful. I cannot say enough about the warm and friendly, helpful staff. Really top notch! The pool was pristine with a very nice lifeguard to help with anything you need. I met many lovely travelers at this hotel. My room was simply but elegantly furnished , with a private balcony with a beautiful view. I felt very at home here. The lobby was comfortable and cool. A free shuttle bus was available to everyone staying there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a comfortable and classy oasis, just minutes away from the center of town.

The hotel was fabulous and exceeded our expectations, and we mixed with, and got on well with the other guests. The hotel is quiet and relaxing, and the staff friendly and efficient - nothing is too much trouble. Taourmina itself is a lovely town with excellents shops, restaurants and bars. The Greek Theatre is well worth a visit - especially to go to a concert as the atmosphere is wonderful.

Walk to Taromina downhill takes about 10 min via an ok route. Uphill back to hotel not recommended unless you're fit. Fortuneately, hotel provided free shuttle service with prior sign-up which proved quite adequate. Room, balcony, pool, breakfast/lunch room, service and price all very nice.

Apart from the food being very average and the coffee undrinkable this is a superb hotel; the most impresssive aspect being the efficiency of the staff.

The hotel was absolutely fabulous. If I was to make any complaints it was that the menu was quite limited if you are staying for 2 weeks.

Great hotel in a fantastic setting and location. It is up the mountain a bit so you either need to like walking (steep stairs and lots of them!) or wait for the Hotel Minibus which was only a bit of a pain at night. Overall you won't find much better than this.

Excellent hotel with a really poor room service i.e: glass not changed ??? wrong mini bar inventory and invoicing - last day for check out they just consider we stay and not clean up all the room for next client !!!- I told them that it was our last day !! it is not serioius with 21 rooms - however the manager offered us a bottle of wine to excuse the poor room service - the restaurant is rather a snak bar and expensive - the personnel very kind but not skilled - this is adjustment to make only otherwise I will warmly recomand this hotel which reality is nicer that the doc and brochure. ....which is rare !!!

We had a fantastic stay in an idylic setting with wonderful views from our balcony of the coast and Mount Etna. It's also a great place to chill out. The rooms have DVD players and DVDs are available to borrow. The pool was lovely to relax by. The only draw back was being up above the town, a 20 minute walk, but this gave the wonderful views and the hotel provides a free shuttle service into the centre which only takes 5 minutes. The staff were always very keen to help at all times. Definitely recommend it and can't wait to go back!

The Hotel Villa Angela is a beautiful hotel with incredible views of Taormina, the sea and Mt. Etna. The hotel staff was very courteous and they speak english very well. Although it's not off the main central road where everyone takes a passigata, you can easily get there as the hotel provides shuttles that are very convenient. It's well worth the stay and we'll be back for sure!! Our only problem was that we didn't have more time to stay and enjoy!

I have been fortunate enough to have travelled the world staying in top hotels from Tokyo to Mombassa, from Canada to Vietnam and from Mauritius to Rio de Janeiro. This hotel is very good and well worth visiting. The staff offer a relaxing yet highly efficient stay. The front desk staff are of 5 star quality.Jim Kerr(the co-owner)is relaxed with a perfect professional demeanour, neither intrusive nor distant. The guests are both professional and laid back. However, the hotel's biggest draw back is its menu. The menu is too restrictive, offering little choice and without daily variety. The size and quality of the rooms are as expected, but, if i wished to be pernickity i feel that the chamber service should include tyding personal effects with the rest of the room. Would i return? Yes,with a revised menu and a hope that the quality of both the guests and the staff remain unchanged. Graham Johnson
