Our wish was to name each room at Taodomus Hotel after the colours, scents of fruit and plants typical of Sicily, a celebration of all senses.

The furnishing is entirely hand made and decorated by hand, following old glazing, gilding and marble techniques. Attention to details, matching colours for both furniture and finishing, the exclusive headboards as well as the old wardrobe shutters lend the rooms’ atmosphere an unrivalled elegance and charm.

In order to make your stay even more comfortable, each room has been fitted with all kind of modern comfort: air conditioning with remote control, mini bar, direct dial line, hair-dryer, satellite TV.

All rooms are soundproofed, which means that all guests will be able to enjoy the magic of Taormina’s town centre in total relax.

a very elegantly designed hotel, perfectly located in centro above the Corso near Porta Catania. Room was beautiful with balcony, not noisy at all. The top floor terrace for breakfast had stunning views of Etna and the sea. it would be great if lift could start at ground level, however more than made up for by lovely ambience and welcoming staff.

Great hotel and great service. A boutique hotel with own solutions and personal touch. The shower could have been more spacious cvonsidering price. The elevator starts from first floor to which you have to carry your bags.

This was a delightful hotel. The description about parking needs to be more precise. You cannot park adjacent to the hotel even to offload your bags. You first must go to the huge parking garage.

Excellent in most respects however roof terrace not finished yet which causes a few problems with breakfast. Nevertheless the staff/owners made up for this by offering breakfast in rooms and they couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.

The hotel is located on Corso Umberto, the main street of Taormina and is very near to the shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel has 9 rooms. Breakfast can be served in your room or downstairs in the communal area. Breakfast was served by the helpful staff and the selection was very good. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. We were allocated a room facing the street. The room was spacious, neat and clean. The bathroom was clean, there was a shower (no bath). There was a balcony which also looked out onto the street. We were disturbed by noise from outside early in the morning and during the middle of one of the nights. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others. If you are a light sleeper, request for a quiet room not facing the main street.

Nice hotel, if a bit expensive. The only down side was we had a balcony with a great view but couldnt sit on it in the evening as the smell from the kitchen of the restaruant next door was a bit stinky.

It was a pleasure to stay in this small and nice family owned hotel. We would absolutely recommend our friends to stay there, one should choose the room with the view, on the top floor. The rooms are quite small but very tastefully decorated and very clean. The breakfasts were superb, for one who loves fresh pastrys and fruits, great coffee. The service was excellent for breakfast.

Our stay at Taodomus was fantastic! The staff and accommodation were really, really good. The only difference between the website description and the hotel is the website did not do it justice - it is so much better in reality!!! thanks for a lovely stay.

How to reach Hotel Taodomus

By car
From the A18 Catania – Messina highway, exit at Taormina and continue int direction of historic centre (approximately 7 kilometres) up to the entrance into the city near the Lumbi parking garage. Stay on the left and take the Monte Tauro Tunnel, which bypasses the centre of Taormina and exits in Porta Catania. Leave your car in the Porta Catania parking garage (a partner of the Hotel Taodomus) and walk along Corso Umberto. After 6 minutes, you will arrive at the Hotel Taodomus at number 224.

By train
Taormina - Giardini Naxos train station (Catania – Messina lines) can be reached from all directions. The Hotel is located only 2 kilometres from the train station. From there take a taxi, which arrives at the hotel in only a few minutes.

By airplane
The airport closest to Taormina and the Hotel Taodomus is the Fontanarossa Airport in Catania (64 km away).
From the airport, take the S.A.I.S. bus or Etna Services bus to Taormina and get off at the last stop, the terminal on Via Pirandello. From there take a taxi, which arrives at the hotel in only a few minutes.
