Our experience at Hotel Mediterranee was great. The room had a balcony with an amazing view of Taormina and the gulf below us and Mount Etna to the right. It was a spectacular sight. The room was clean and tidy. We found the bathroom to be on the smaller side with a tiny shower, but overall clean. Located a short walk up from the main corso (street), keep in mind that Taormina is built on a steep cliff so the walk up to the hotel is on an incline. The beach is located about a 15 minute drive away, luckily the hotel offers a shuttle service that will take you there for a fair fee. The staff were knowledgable and helpful at all times.

The hotel has amazing views, the staff are excellent, pool is beautiful although needs a little repair, breakfast and dinner superb!. Only down side for us was the bathroom which needed updating.

By car
From highway A18 Messina – Catania exit at Taormina Centro and you will reach Via Circonvallazione where hotel Mediterranée is located.

By train
From the Taormina/Giardini Naxos railway station you can reach the Taormina city centre by bus until the Bus Terminal. From the Bus Terminal you can reach the Mediterranée hotel by taxi.

By airplane
From the Catania Airport you can reach Taormina by bus (the ticket costs €5,00 per person), by train from the Catania railway station (the buses from the airport to the railway station leave each 20 minutes or, if you decide to rent a a car, take the A18 highway in the direction of Messina and take the exit Taormina Centro.
You can also reach the property by taxi, the price is approximately €80,00.
