Hotel Isola Bella - Mazzarò, Taormina

Our stay at this hotel was a memorable one! Location is breath-taking! When we saw the room, I was not impressed as it is old-fashioned, but once you open the balcony door and see the view, well, it makes up for everything! Just make sure to book a room with a view, its worthed the little bit extra you pay! Breakfast is excellent! Good choice of food, with freshly-baked cakes! Staff is very helpful and fiendly, cannot complain! Very close to the funivia (cable car), just 300m, which takes you straight to the centre of taormina, whilst enjoying the breath-taking views underneath! Decor of hotel is classic and could use an upgrade, but hotel is clean, staff is friendly, breakfast excellent, location spectacular, so YES, i d definetely recommend this hotel! Pleasantly surprised at stupendous view from room. staff was incredible. the only negative was that we didn't stay longer.

Excellent hotel and wonderful view. Near restaurants. Very good breakfast. One criticism - very little tourist advice on Etna etc. We speak Spanish and can understand Italian fairly well but Receptionist was not able to answer our questions and didn't offer any advice.

Was have a little problem with the price of reserve, but finally everithig ok

Exactly as described in previous positive reviews. View to die for IMHO. Pay the extra for an ocean view. Parking could be a problem, but not for us. Nice pool too. Definitely would stay here again

Staff was very friendly and real italian. The view is great. It could be a very nice place but it needs a serious update. The pool also could be wonderfull if there wasn't this view on the hotel roof with all the airconditioning staff that makes a tremendous noise.

The hotel was pricey for the size of the room and the room had a damp smell to it. It was directly across the street from the beach but you had to walk a quarter of a mile along the road and then down over 100 steps to get to the beach.

Only downside is the mattre: single room with uncomfortable mattress. BAthroom tiny tiny as the rest of the room, but for that price, that view (straight on the Isola Bella) that staff kindness and great breakfast, it is worthit

No parking available as i had to park my car infront of hotel but in street,still managment tried to do all they can to give best parking for my personall car,nice views

Te world his hotel has one of the best views in the world if you take a room with a view.The only noticeable noise at night was that of the sea on the rocks and beach below. The breakfast was good and the staff extremely friendly and polite. Free internet was a bonus. The beach in front of the hotel is not ideal for swimming, but the hotel has a large pool.

Prix trop élevé pour des chambres ,qui ,certes ont vue sur la mer ,mais ne sont pas joliment meublées petit dejeuner quelconque

Very wellcoming, friendly and helpful personnel, clean rooms, very good situations, very nice view to the sea. Breakfast, overall information about Taormina, Sicily and restaurant services needed.

This was our first time in this hotel. Accomodations are fairly comfortable, and the location is good, with a beautiful panorama and a sea view. Rooms are quite noisy, due to the fact that hotel is located in front of a road and a railway.

We stayed in a double bed with a balcony and the view was spectacular. Hotel was immaculate and location ideal. Would stay there again in a minute.

The hotel is lovely, but basic. The views from the front are well worth the extra the only drawback is the road below which is busy. But it soon becomes background noise. There's is also a train track that runs along the coast, past all of the hotels in this area so there's no escaping it, but the trains are very infrequent. The staff are friendly and helpful but with very little english, however can cope with any usual enquiries. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would stay again. The clientele are young and older couples and families. It's about a 5 minute walk into the cable car to Taormina but worth it. However I wouldn't recommend it for young children as there are no footpaths and the drivers are typically italian.
