Hotel Il Piccolo Giardino - Taormina

This is great place to stay in Taormina. Well situated and within easy walking distance of everything. Except, the multi-story car park but that's not close to anything really. The garden is beautiful and a relaxing place to spend a quiet hour or two. The rooftop pool is perfect for a quick dip and a nice place to sit and look over the town. No doubt this is great value place to stay.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at Il Piccolo Giardino. It is an attractive small hotel, close to amenities in Taormina and about 10 minutes walk from the bus station. The staff are smart and professional. Breakfast was good and it was delightful to eat out on the terrace by the garden. The pool on the roof is small but a useful asset and a good place to sunbathe. Unfortunately there was torrential rain during some of our stay and our corner top floor room had a bad leak in the bathroom. We were not offered an alternative, but it was cleared up fairly promptly.

Consiglio vivamente il soggiorno al piccolo giardino, .... fatevi offrire l'aperitivo MOLTO rinforzato... torneremo sicuramente!

The hotel was first class, and I received a very friendly welcome from the manager and excellent service from all staff. The hotel has been skilfully and attractively renovated, with a lovely rooftop sun and pool area and modern, comfortable, quiet rooms with good, working air conditioning. The restaurant is beautifully situated, by the garden, with good service and food, and reasonably priced. My only disappointment, having booked over the internet just the day before arrival, was to find that a couple who had purchased a package deal in Austria appeared to have paid considerably less. However I did not investigate this in detail (e.g. were the rooms comparable? how much did single occupancy influence the price?).

We enjoyed our stay at Il Piccolo Giardino. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious and the location was excellent - just off of Corso Umberto. The hotel was only opened in May 2008 so is a bright modern building. Breakfast was served in the hotel garden which was very pleasant. The rooftop pool is quite small but offers great views across to the sea and there are loungers etc available. The bar was not open as we had arrived quite late in the season and no towels were provided - the hotel informed us that they were looking to provide these in the future. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as it is perfectly located in Taormina and is a lot less expensive than some of the other available hotels. On arrival in Taormina we parked in the Lumbo multi storey car park and found that there is a free bus into the centre - from here the hotel is just 5 minutes walk.
