The only problem was that the room felt like a prison cell with the high windows. The hotel appeared to have rooms with balconies for, assumedly, two or more people.

We recommend this hotel for all style travelers. Room is clean, so calm even so many tourists on the street, staffs are friendly, nice location in the town. I love this hotel.

Very convenient central location on Corso Umberta. Two suggestions - install small fridge and also coffee/tea making facility in rooms.

This was my second stay at Hotel Victoria and was again impressed by the service and quality of the room. Taormina can be expensive but the Victoria is an excellent choice for those on a budget but without the usual 'budget' constraints. Highly recommended!

There are only 3 places for car, whith many difficulties to get one of them by straight ways, and nobody can reserve of course.

I liked my stay in Taormina and in hotel Victoria very much. To me it looked like a happy little town. I stayed here for two nights and was pleased with almost everything. The hotel is perfectly situated in the main street. Everything within walking distance, with a popular 'gelateria' next to the hotel. Expect a little noise, because it's in the main street'. The staff was nice, kind and welcoming. I almost had a crush on one of them. There is a cablecar going down to the sea. Turn right and you will see a beach down below. Taormina may be crowded and busy in summer, but it was ok when I was there (end of April)

Perfectly located along Corso Umberto in the heart of Taormina's shopping and restaurants. Easy walk to the Greek theatre and the cable-car to the beach. Despite being on the main street our room was very quiet. The bed was a bit hard but a nice king size and it had a clean roomy bathroom though shower was a tiny stall. Breakfast room was open and airy with a good variety of juices, breads, yogurts, etc. Only problem with it was they didn't serve until 8am and we were unable to get anything before our day-long tour to Mt. Etna left.

It is a more than excellent hotel. In the same trip I have stayed at a 4 stars hotel, a 3 stars hotel and this one ( a 2 stars hotel) and this one was, by far, the best. Outstanding location, incredibly cleanliness, friendly, warmly run by a family. I definitely recommnend it.

Great location. Our room was over the main street, so it was somewhat noisy. Lots of rooms off of the street, if noise is a problem. Staff was very helpful. More information about parking garage and shuttle would be a great help. Driving and parking in town is impossible.

The location is fantastic - right in the centre of the town on one of the main pedestrian streets. Staff were very friendly. Room & bed were very comforable with a great shower. Continental breakfast offered a large choice of pastries, breads, fruit, yoghurts & jams. A great base for a stay in Taormina.

This was a great find in the middle of a very populated tourist area. The room was clean and large. Our room even had a small patio. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. This is a family run hotel and they are doing a great job in the remodel. This was rated 2 stars, but was much nicer than many 3 star hotels. Parking is an issue, but worth the hassle. There is a free bus if you can find it. We did get a nice discount on the parking.

Absolutely brilliant location on the Corso Umberto, very cheap and clean, very pleasant staff and nice breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel to people who do not need a pool and want a convenient location in the centre of the town. It is within a 5 minute walk to the cable car which take you to the nearest beach!

Very good, nice, clean and quiete hotel in absolutely central position on the main street - which is quiete because cars are not allowed there - of Taormina. Better than the two-star-qualification indicates. More like three-star. The staff was very friendly.

The room was adequate - nothing special. We were in a street-side room over Easter and it was noisy all night long which I assume was due to the celebrations. The location of the hotel was very conveniently located in the middle of the city. Taormina is far up a winding road and you will need transportation to get there. The breakfast included breads, pastries, cheese, meat, eggs, yogurt and juice and there were servers present who made you fresh coffee.

This small hotel is worth the city Taormina , great owner ( waited for our late arrival & helped with the parking my minivan -(10 Euros charge per night). We rented 3 rooms - all great ,looking out on the main walking only street .All had beautiful balkonies & very comfortable including nice beds . Great buffet breakfast -Overall excellent service !

You can't ask for a better location - this hotel is right on the main street in beautiful Taormina. However that does mean it is a bit noisy at night, so take some earplugs! But that is the price you pay for such a fantastic spot in the centre of town. Staff were very helpful, breakfast was simple but good!

Good value. The best location one can imagine for a short touristic stay, right in the middle of the main street. Not close to beaches but close to the cable car that brings you right to the beach (3.5 Euros per person for two-way tkt). Breakfast is nice but does not include cereal, fruit, eggs or veggies. Parking is an issue in this city and you will have to park outside this street and drag your belongings for a few minutes but this is part of staying in a perfect location right in the middle of the main street. Parking is expensive but well organized, clean and safe, but the hotel gives you a 40% discount coupon so it's about 17 euros for a 48 hours stay (instead of 28).

The hotel was clean and easily accessible. It's central location makes it convenient to see the town. The room was quiet and spacious. I would stay there again, it was very economical. Fresh cornetti and cappuccini were a bonus for breakfast.

The main town of Taormina has a pedestrian mall between two city gates. This hotel is right in the middle. Catch the bus up the hill from the train station. Rooms are spacious and the younger staff have excellent English. The room even has a balcony where you can people watch as you sip a glass of bubbly. Taormina is the holiday destination of choice so expect high prices for a quality meal.

I found Hotel Victoria when searching the internet for somewhere to stay in Taormina as I was going there for a friend's wedding. I wasn't expecting great things as my budget was small and I'd heard Taormina was expensive. So, I was delighted to find that Hotel Victoria is incredibly good value for money - I paid 200 euro for three nights in a single room. The location is superb, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are lovely for the money and I would most certainly stay there again. Highly recommended.

Hotel Victoria is excellently located for visiting Taormina: very central and accessible. It's very good value for money, the staff is friendly and welcoming and the room was more spacious and comfortable than some three star hotels we've been in. It's a ten minute walk from the bus station and within walking distance of all the major attractions in Taormina. I'll definitely be checking availability here first for any future visits to Taormina.

Hotel Victoria was great, within easy walking distance of everything in Taormina. The only bad thing was that the safe in our room didn't work, but this was the only negative in an otherwise completely positive stay. Excellent breakfast (don't let fat people expecting a full english breakfast regardless of where they are in the world tell you otherwise!!).

Taormine is an expensive place ; so are all the hotels there, you pay for their location, not for the service provided. Other than that, the hotel is in the very heart of the historical center of Taormine.

A really nice and friendly hotel situated in just about the best part of town. This family run business is steeped in local history, so if you are curious, ask if it's possible to see the register dating back to around 1900 - it truly reflects what travel was like in days days long before airplanes and mass travel. Moreover, the owners are about as helpful as it's possible to be and always seem ready to help out with any problems or queries you may have. The only negatives we have relate to the 'people noise' late into the night along the very narrow pedestrian only street fronting the hotel and the distance to the nearest garage parking facility, where it is necessary to leave the car if you are using one.

Staying at the Victoria was a wonderful experience. The owner and his son were unfailingly helpful and charming, and my single room with small balcony over a relatively quiet alleyway was lovely. I would recommend the Victoria to anyone who is looking to be right in the center of shops and restaurants on this busy pedestrian street in Taormina. (I even walked it with rolling baggage from the bus station, instead of taking a taxi, and it was a bit strenuous, but manageable, for this middle-aged woman in average condition.)

A fantastic place to stay in Taormina. Right on the main street (pedestrian only, really), so you're within walking distance of everything (besides the beach) that the town has to offer. The staff was fantastic - friendly, and provided very good restaurant recommendations. The bathroom was on the small side, but nothing out of the ordinary for a European hotel. Overall, a beautiful hotel and a beautiful place to visit.
