The noisy hotel I have ever been in. No need to bring alarm clocks.

4 full days in Taormina, in spite of the adverse weather it's always a paradise. Hotel premise: small, family business operated, but OVERALL, EXQUISITE PEOPLE!! Location is great:everything reachable by foot (even to Giardini train station if you're adventurous!) and even greater in relation to fee paid; view is SUPERB...rooms a bit small but IT DOES NOT MATTER; bathroom, good and decent (though I'd recommend SHOWER BOX to avoid water going everywhere) SINCERE THANKS TO THE STAFF

The staff was extremely helpful in helping us book a tour for the Etna and also in arranging a room in another hotel when we asked them if we could stay an additional night and their hotel was fully booked. A big plus for service. They also provided a very nice breakfast to take with us on the tour to the Etna.

Nice hotel in the centre of Taormina near the public garden and not far from the cable car that goes down to the beach. But it has NO private parking whatsoever. You can park alongside the road for 7 euros per day if you're really lucky enough to find the space. But I think it's OK for Taormina anyway, very few hotels have their own parkings there.

It was really easy to find this hotel, just 5 min on food from the Taormina top bus station. I had a nice room with a high ceiling, also I liked the balcony in a room. The view from the top terrace is amazing! Staff was friendly but from the beginning they did not give me the key from the safe and the control panel for the air-conditioner so I had to come back to the reception again. But its not a problem. Breakfast is good and fast. Near the hotel is a very beautiful garden called Giardini communale its a nice relax. Also the city center, Greek theatre and cable-way to Isola bella is just 10 min from the hotel. I would come again.

This is a very friendly hotel. There was a mix up the first night of our stay but the staff more than made up for it. Very easy communication with the staff - they speak several languages. The views are fantastic and the hotel is very near the centre of the town. 5 mins walk from the bus station. Great little restaurant called the Garden on the same street. Elios would suit all ages.

My friend and I stayed for four nights at Elios and the staff were lovely. There was a lift to our floor, but a flight of stairs again and a gorgeous man working that night carried our cases to our rooms. The staff could not have been friendlier and very helpful. My friends room was spacious and comfortable with ensuite bathroom. The view was just of a next door wall though. My room was a very small single room. I found it quite comfortable for my needs and ensuite bathroom, spotless and great shower. The view from my window was fantastic and well worth the compromise of space. It was the sea and coastline and Mt. Etna. Couldn't get any better. Apart from noisy neighbours one night I slept very well. Breakfast was served on a cute little terrace. There is also a larger terrace to sit out on and enjoy the view. Hotel Elios is only about 100 meters from a beautiful park and views to die for. It's fairly central to everything...a short walk to restaurants and the main drag. Taormina is a beautiful town, with lots of charm. Not far to walk to the bus station. There's a funicular nearby that takes you down to the beach. If you have heavy cases catch a taxi from the train station....it's a fixed price and not far to go. I loved our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Elios. Try to ask for a room with a view.... you won't be sorry.

The Elios is a small hotel very close to the public gardens in Taormina, and only 10 mins walk from the entre. It is very good value for money in Taormina. While our room and balcony were small we had a marvellous view of Etna and the bay. Breakfast was good and the Manager helpful. The only down side was very noisy neighbours in both rooms adjacent to ours. When we tried to phone reception to complain we got some sort of call centre. The manager apologised the next day. Apart from tht we enjoyed our stay and would reccomend the hotel.

Very friendly staff and close to the centre of town but it's a long walk uphill from the train station and beach so be prepared or get a taxi.

When we arrived the girl at the reception didn't seem very welcoming but it all changed in a few minutes - phone was ringing all the time and she was busy. It was the first time we stayed at Elios and we were very pleased. Family run place and they were very sweet. Wonderful view: the sea and Etna. It's written the hotel is next to the Greek/Roman theatre...it is but you can't get to it from the hotel. You have to walk up town to get there but it's not a long walk. I liked the public park nearby the hotel - a lovely place. Price compared to room standard well Taormina is an expensive town but I guess public areas on the hotel and the views weighs it up.

The staff at this hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. We would definately stay here again. The view from our room was outstanding and there was some noise because of traffic but nothing to complain about.

We had an absolutely beautiful view of the sea and Mount Etna to the south -- request a room with a balcony if you can -- it was the best view out of our entire 17 day trip to Italy. We had even arrived very earlier in the day from our night train coming from Naples and the staff was kind enough to let us check in earlier since they had our room available already. Breakfast was standard for Italy, but good with friendly service as well.

Bien ubicado, aunque difícil de hallar, porque está a la salida de la ciudad. No tiene facilidad de parquo y eso es problemático en la ciudad en general. No hay faicilidad de internet cerca.

Elios is a true example of you get want you pay for. The prices are very reasonable for such a central location in Taormina. However the hotel is very dated, and there's a grumpy old man on reception. But the rooms are clean and there are great sea views from the terrace on the 4th floor. Try to avoid a room on the 2nd floor as the traffic noise, plus the arguing couple who serve breakfast, make it very difficult to sleep - rooms on higher floors should be quieter.

We asked for a sea view room when booking and got a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the light shaft at the back of the hotel next door - not scenic! Nor quiet! Shame as the hotel has many positives - a stunning terrace with views over the bay and Etna, handy position 5 minute walk (uphill) to Toarmina centre, and friendly staff.

Shortly after we checked into our room, I was asked to return to the front desk with my reservation. I was told that I had booked the other hotel they owned - yet I had selected Hotel Elios when I booked the reservation and my reservation clearly stated Hotel Elios. We had moved into the room and used the facilities and I refused to moved. The web site clearly states air conditioning is available but we couldn't turn it on ( the room was quite warm)and was told it was not available for us at the price that we had booked and besides it was only available in August. They also state eleavator is available, however, we had to walk up one flight of stairs to our room. They did provide us with parking which cost us 8 euros. The desk clerk who was there when we arrived did not speak English very well, however, the couple who were there in the morning when we checked out were most helpful and could speak English.

I was very happy with my stay here. Clean, convenient, lovely views. If I had stayed more than one night I may not have been so lucky to have had so much space to myself! People very helpful, great location, much better value than anything else I saw in Taormina. People's comments about hotel pasted on website were more representative/ helpful than website itself.

Bad surprise... boiling, kitchen smelling room - the air condition, mini bar and TV were just a simulacre, they existed but nothing worked! Otherwise, the staff was quite nice and the terrace view on Etna and the sea impressive...

Stayed for 3 nights at Elios and had a great stay. Room looked out over road to the sea, so while was a bit noisy occasionally had sea views which was unexpected. From what we had heard about Taormina was good value for money. was in good location short walk 5-10min from centre town. Breakfast typical italian but good coffee and can ask for more pastries if hungry. Clean room serviced daily. WOuld definitely recommend and stay again.

Stayed in Hotel Elios for 6 days in the beg of August. Taormina was extremely busy at this time! Had room with balcony with a beautiful view of Mt Etna and the sea. We used a car during the stay and the hotel owner gave us lot's of helpful advices. Parking in Taormina is quite chaotic and is 10 euro per day. If you go to Taormina, hotel Elios is a nice place to stay. But, don't expect too much from the breakfast.

wonderful view from room and on the deck! great to sit outside have a glass of wine and over look the town! the pictures on the site don't do this place justice! really close to centre with shops, food and internet. the town is a one way system, so a little tricky if you drive there, but gets easy after first time!!!
