Hotel Skåne is a small cosy tourist-class hotel on the edge of the Old Town. History of the house dates back to 19th century when it was built to be one of the first hotels in Tallinn. Nowadays hotel is named after the historic Skåne bastion that is near the hotel. Good location allowes to walk to Old Town in couple of minutes and in about 10 minutes to the city center.

If I have the opportunity to go back again to Estonia I would repeat the experience. A decent price, very quiet, very competent personal, everything clean, free wi-fi, 5min walking to downtown and 15min to the ferryboat station (Terminal D - Helsinki). Ah! And "Skane" is the name of a fortress next to the hotel! You should visit it!

I'd be happy to recommend Hotel Skane to any budget traveller. Pro's: I liked the counter service the place was very clean and tidy, good location for walking to the old city. Cons: Could have a variation in the breakfast menu or more selection. Room was a bit small, (but fine for me as I was on my own)

The rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The location is very close to the tram lines and the Old Town and overall my stay was very pleasant.

A very nice and cosy hotel just in front of the old town. At the reception the people who worked there was very friendly and well disposed at helping their guests. I stayed just one night but I will recommend it to anyone who's going to Tallinn.
