CHECK AVAILABILITY
The Hotel Olevi is located in the very heart of Old Tallinn, not far from the legendary church of St. Oleviste and the Town Hall Square.

The building was completely renovated in 2003 but dates back to the beginning of the 14th century. The red tiled roofs, the stone-cobbled streets and the sound of the church bells carry you back to the Middle Ages.

The comfortable rooms are full of light and modern conveniences, yet you can feel the atmosphere of the past. The upper floors of the hotel offer breathtaking views of the sea and the passenger port.

We had to pay 8 euros for parking instead of 2 stated. The hotel has no elevator. The staff at the reception didn't know the phone code of Narva and didn't do anything to help. The internet is versy slow. One should better pay with krona since the exchange rate is very unprofitable. All the rest was fine

Very good place to stay in Tallinn if you are interested in sightseeing in the Old Town. Good Russian speaking personnel. Authentic spirit of a medieval building. Sound insulation is not very good. Restaurant is not as good as presented by the staff.

The relationship between price and service was excellent. The hotel is value for money. The breakfast was very good and the hotel is in the centre of Tallinn old town.

We had ordered 2 triple rooms. When we arrived told reception lady that these rooms ar actually WITHOUT WINDOWS!!! How can it be possibly to have hotel rooms without windows? Think if there is fire!!! Reception lady was very nice and asked if we wanted to take suite instead of these 2 triple rooms. Very good service. Nice price, good breakfast and in the middle of Old Town.

The Hotel is very well located but not enough professional. People at reception are changing always during these 7 days, working sometimes 16 hours non stop so not very motivated. Only one personn serving at breakfast so the sunday morning( hotel full) many people had to queue for sitting and for getting table served The room hasn't been clean during the week. Only the beds dressed. Big bathroom but bad smell coming from piping

Beautiful location, charming old building in Old Town Tallin round the corner to nearly everything. Very cold welcome from hotel employees, absolutely no friendliness or pleasure in contact to guests - most of staff didn't greet at all when meeting in the lobby, on the stairs etc. Lots of stairs to go up to reach one's room - be careful to ask for a room close to the entrance if you have problems. Nice breakfast buffet with salted snacks, eggs, tasty breads and cold cuts. No sweets but kefir and local jams. We didn't try the hotel restaurant, which seemed to be full every night. Our room overlooked a back yard (actually, the roof of the breakfast lounge) and was quiet and clean, but at meal times it promptly filled with the noise of an external air conditioner unit, not really a pleasant soundtrack although it didn't buzz for long. I would recommend this hotel for the good quality/price rate and especially for the gorgeous location, but would also suggest to check possible offers on the 4 and 5 stars hotels surrounding the Old Town - they seem to chase tourists with attractive bargains and special packages.

Excellent location in old city Tallinn. We and our adult children stayed 3 nights. Very good breakfast provided. Many stairs to the rooms, including a spiral staircase, so not satisfactory for some travellers. Front desk staff is not well managed and not well informed; they spent a lot of time smoking outside. Bell captain inexplicably shoved our son - a 40 year old man - to keep him from viewing our room. Possibly he did not realize we were together and was protecting me. Still, very inappropriate.

This hotel is a great place to stay to explore Tallinn. The old guy who usually sits at the front of the hotel is grumpy but harmless, and yes there are a lot of stairs to get to your room but walking through the hotel is part of the charm. The breakfast is OK. Also you must have a meal at Olde Hansa restaurant while in Tallinn, it is a great experience.

The hotel was in general quite nice, but there were a couple of significant problems. 1. The carpet in the room was very wet over an area of < 1 m2 and smelled sour at this point 2. the ventilation system in the room (cellar room, no window) was rather noisy, but the big problem was that it projected a smell into the room, as if it were taking air in from a toilet. 3. Already almost an hour before the end of breakfast time the staff stopped replacing bread, cold cuts etc.

Nice hotel. Very nice place. When I booked, I asked for a room on one of the lower floors, got one in 7th floor! And there is no lift. Anyway a nice stay. The old town is great!

Very nice hotel, we had room no. 71 on the top-floor (attention: a lot of stairs to walk, the porter earned his tip bravely). Beautful view over the roofs of old Tallinn. Breakfast is on a good standard for this quality-price-relationship.

The location in the city centre was excellent, 10 minutes on foot to and from every attraction. No lift to the floors and and a narrow staircase from the registration desk to the rooms. Large breakfast in the morning. Excellent English spoken by the girls at the reception.

Very nicely restored old building.Excellent restaurant! Great breakfast. Getting to rooms a bit confusing..you go down a spiral stair before you go up regular staircase! No elevator, so ask for lower floors or be fit! Especially for the 6th or 7th floor (nice view from rooftop rooms, however) Staff all very helpful and porter carries your bags up those endless stairs. Very well located in the old town, about a 7 minute taxi from the ferry and 3 minute walk to main square. We would definitely stay again.

On your website link there was an entry that there was to be tea & coffee making facilities in the room - none were available. This is irritating as i would have packed my own! No details in the hotel re. the sauna as indicated on the website ...therefore unsatisfactory in these areas. Kerry

Hotel has great a location. The stairs are a killer even if you go to the gym! Make sure you request a room in a lower floor. We booked a double room and got a twin, which was annoying, single beds are pain. Our bath room and bath tub was amazingly big, very nice after a long day of sight seeing. Some things seemed hard work, like getting a spare pillow. However, the price was great. The porter was scary. Stay there for location and price, but if you want a lovely bed, then don't.

Overall an excellent hotel, superbly located, literally 3 mins walk from main square in the old town. Only quibble, check prices when you come to pay as they tried to charge us standard rate as opposed to the online price we had booked at. To their credit they sorted it out as soon as we pointed it out, but we could have been overcharged.
