Viru was the legend of the Soviet Union. Now it is the comfortable modern hotel. Wonderful view over the city from the upper floors, location near the historic city center and the ferry harbor makes Viru attractive for travelers. Prices are moderate, even for the high season.

Good location for sightseeing and shopping, this is a good choice in Tallin. KGB museum tour is interesting.

Easy to find the hotel, really good breakfast, easy to walk to the old town, to Estonian opera house, and for shopping. I was very satisfyed to stay at Sokos Hotel Viru. The only minus was that I couldn't find the swimmingpool.
