Hotel Kalev Spa - Tallinn

Internett cable was not available, and no effort was done to get one. One day breakfast was closed at 10:00 instead of 11:00 without any warning. At least 90% of the employees have something to learn about service and courtesy. Due to noice from traffic and people, use ear plugs if you like to have the windows open at night.

Das Kalev Spa liegt direkt bei der Altstadt von Tallinn, daher ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Stadtbesichtigungen. Das Zimmer im 2. Stock lag an einer wenig befahrenen Straße, somit relativ ruhig. Das Zimmer an sich war "normal", das Badezimmer dafür überdurchschnittlich groß und schön. Zum Frühstück wurden reichhaltige Speißen serviert, von Rühreiern bis zu Rote Bete Salat. Das Personal ist zurückhaltend freundlich. Alles in allem ein gutes Hotel.

The hotel had a mistake with the booking and there was no free rooms when we arrived. We had to go to another hotel for one night and change again for the next one. We lost a lot of time changing hotels, packing and unpacking, we couldn't use the SPA and we spent half day without any room and with our luggage.

Difficult access to the swimmingpool from the rooms for disabled people who are depending of weelchair.

Great hotel, great location, but not so kindly personal in the reseption. They charge us 5 Euro for taking care of our suitcases in 2 hours before our plane take-off. Bad!!

The Spa is an excellent new, high quality, clean facility to either unwind (saunas, steam room, jacuzzi x 4, separate kids pool); be energetic (8 lane 50m swimming pool, large fully equiped gym) or be thrilled (a couple of the best indoor flumes I have been on, + a 'junior' one). The hotel itself is nothing special - although neither was the price so it offered good value for money and the location is also good. However, if you enjoy the water/swimming you should find the Spa makes your stay very enjoyable.

This was an excellently located, well run and very comfortable hotel. I would recommend it to any visitor to Tallinn
