Over-all, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's about 15 minutes away from Taipei 101 by taxi, and the MTR station is less than a 10-minute walk away. It's really a business hotel, as advertised, and we chose to stay here as it was the only one available that weekend in our price range and because reviews raved about the largeness of the rooms and the softness of the beds (which they certainly were!) The National Palace Museum is only a 5-minute taxi ride away (quite a few taxis wait outside the hotel) and there is a Carrefour nearby. The front desk staff was great and spoke good English and we enjoyed the complimentary fruit and water in our room everyday. We stayed in a superior single (double bed) and it's one of the biggest superior size rooms we've stayed in thus far. The size of the bathroom was also quite amazing, complete with a jacuzzi and a separate shower stall. We heard that a lot of moderately priced hotels in the city center have really tiny rooms, so this was a big plus. The room was supposed to come with a single breakfast, but when the staff saw we were a couple, they gave us breakfast coupons good for two! The breakfast was not bad -- buffet style, with a mix of Chinese and Western food. Our only complaint is that though we were in Room 205, we could hear loud talking from Room 201! The hotel is surrounded by construction sites but you couldn't really hear much of it in the morning. The staff called a taxi to take us to the Taipei-Taoyuan airport after our early morning check-out. The driver arrived on time and spoke very good English and charged us only $1000 NTD ($34), all in. His name is Steven, in case you need a driver. We would consider staying here again.
