I had reserved a triple bed room, and when I am arrived. the reservcation it was only for a double bed room. I have been pay a extra to move to a exclusive triple bed room. But other it's good.

Room given was very spacious, but not all are the same good size. Stay was very good. Breakfast, though not included in the price, was very good. Wifi, contrary to what was stated in the website, was free for some (good!) reason. Very near to Chinatown and reasonably to Darling Harbour, though not really near to public transport (nearest located near Chinatown).

This is a competently-run property at a quiet yet fairly central location. The room could have been a bit more spacious and the occasional insects were a mild annoyance, but the warm and friendly staff made up for much of that. The breakfast, though, is a la carte and limited in terms of options, and reduces the effective value compared to other properties in town which offer slightly higher rates inclusive of breakfast. Also, there were no activity areas for children at all.

The Vulcan Hotel offers a wide range of modern guest rooms, which are ideal for those searching for fashionable and budget accommodation in the centre of Sydney. The Standard Rooms come with either 1 double or 2 twin beds; the Superior Queen Room is also suitable for double occupancy, while the Executive Room is suitable for triple occupancy.Each of the rooms has a en suite bathroom with a shower, and faces either Mary Ann Street or the courtyard. Guests will also find a comprehensive package of amenities, including a TV, air conditioning, wireless Internet access, mini fridge, telephone, free tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and a writing desk. There is also an iron and ironing board available on each floor of the hotel. In addition to these convenient amenities, the Superior Queen Room comes with a kitchenette too.
Cots can be requested from the hotel as well as additional beds, provided that the room is deemed suitable.

How to reach Vulcan Hotel
By carFrom the Sydney Harbour Bridge: cross bridge and keep right. Do not go into the city; as you go down the street, you will come to a fork in the road. The aquarium will be on your right, and soon after turn right. After you have gone through four sets of traffic lights, you will come to a junction. Turn right and you should now be on Pier Street. At the next set of lights, turn left onto Harris Street. At the third set of lights, turn right into Thomas Street. At the end of that road, turn right into Wattle Street. After about 22 yards (20 metres), the hotel is on the corner of Mary Ann Street. Turn into Mary Ann Street, register and ask for directions to the secure car park.
