The Relexa Waldhotel Schatten is located in the heart of a natural, protected area, not very far from the Stuttgart city center. The hotel is the ideal starting point for walking and jogging activities. A wonderful hiking trail takes, in not more than two hours, to the beautiful Castle Solitude. A jogging trail, right next to the hotel, enters and crosses the picturesque nearby wood.
The property, housed in a historical building, offers a comfortable, cosy environment which blends tradition and modern conveniences, such as Wi-Fi Internet access, newly renovated fitness room and sauna, a steam bath, a solarium, two restaurants, a bar and several meeting rooms and congress facilities.

The single room is a bit small, the bathroom smelled weird and it was not clean properly, especially not considering it is a 4star hotel and you pay the price you pay. surroundings are nice, quiet and green but too far from everything, not only city center but any village and train station.

Very good value if you stay at the weekend, as we did, at what is mainly a business hotel. Quite easy to find just off the Autobahn. It was a pity that the hotel doesn't open its bar at the weekends, although we were able to get a drink in the restaurant.

we came sprecily fot this hotel. Room was overbooked. Rabo and italian bike,profs for WK.We have to go. The reception give us and adres of the mo hotel. Clean and no athmosfeer, modern, cold. absoluut not like the waldhotel. its was an onplaesant stay. I had my birthday in that time so we plan to stay in the wald hotel. Now it was the most bad day in mij life. It was the first day that i was,nt at home on that day. What must be a plaesant stay was an onhappy stay. I order my room in aug, nobody of the hotel cancel the reservation.If we where there we had noting to do than to go. Also with a bookingsnumber, the client has no rights. If i cancel the reservation i have to pay, the hotel say only sorry. So we are very onhappy.

This hotel is not in the center of the city, but instead 20 minutes outside of the tourist area. It is quiet and roomy, but not fresh and clean like we expected.

very beautiful hotel - to combine relaxing and a city stay. i think you definitly need a car to be flexible, as it is placed in the middle of green, but the city centre is reached easily. After a long day in the city it was very nice to come back and relax. Also the restaurant offered a really good menu!

By car
From the highway A8 or A81 exit at Leonberg, turn right towards Stuttgart at the traffic light, continue about 6 km straight ahead and turn right towards Buesnau/Magstadt. Follow the hotel route and after a right bend you will recognize the hotel on your right-hand side.
By train
From Stuttgart railway station take the tram line S1, S2 or S3 to Vaihingen station, then change to bus line 84 or 92 and get off at the am Schattwald stop. You will reach the hotel after about 300 meters.
