Hotel Ossidiana - Stromboli

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My son was stung by a jellyfish on the beach and they had an anti-venom pen readily available. The hotel was very easy to reach from the port and provided a very pleasant stay.

The Ossidiana is in the best posible location, easy to find just 2 minutes from coming off the ferry. It is near to everything you need,the port, restaurants, boat tours and shops. Our first room didn't have a view but the hotel was completely full. The staff were very helpful and moved us next day into a lovely room. It was a bit noisy from the people drinking at the bar outside but then we found a top window was open in the shower room and it was much quieter with that closed. The view really did make up for it. Breakfast was good and we would stay there again.

Rooms (standard,€ 136,00) was hardly matching the photograph on the website - very small, furniture very old and used - I guess we would have been better off staying at any B&B offered upon arrival. Absolute highlight of our stay was finally being kicked out of the lobby promptly after check out and payment while waiting for the ferry....lobby and sofas only provided for arriving guests.

Très agréable séjour au pied du Stromboli ! Très bon accueil dans un hôtel parfaitement entretenu, au pied du débarcadère. Seul regret : n'être resté qu'une seul nuit, pas suffisant pour explorer l'île et faire l'excursion de nuit jusqu'au sommet du volcan.

If you stay in Stromboli, don't miss to go to the crater. And yes, the Ossidiana is a good place to start your trip.

The location is in walking distance to the ferry terminal .. unfortunatly this is the noisiest spot on the island .. if you want the the inspiration of the remote small island, you should book one of the hotels or B*B in the more remote parts of the village.

Great location, close to everything. Short 5min. walk to ferry dock. Good sea view, beaches close to the hotel. Good hotel services and great breakfast..

Too pricey for what the quality of the room was. Breakfast was very very average.

Small triple room and regular breakfast. Staff doesn't seam happy to work there.

Good service altogether. Big room , simple but clean. Good location for the ferries and hydrofoils and the beach (just opposite it). 5 to 10 minutes walk for the san Vincenso church and heart of Stromboli village. Good stay, will come back .

Location and rooms are very good. Rooms with view to the sea are a little bit too loud, since frequently mopeds drive past. Breakfast is o.k. Prices also. I would live there again. Very friendly man at the receipt.

Friendly and welcoming with good breakfast, but extremely small shower!!!

Beautiful room. Very spacious and reasonably priced mini-bar. Don't know the going rate for the area but considering the distant location and islandic setting, 120 euros seemed fair for such a nice room with a buttet breakfast (that included coffee service to the table).

You only pay for the wonderfull location on the island, don't expect a good hotel.

Nos dieron una habitación pésima, sucia y vieja, con necesidad de un buen arreglo, al igual que el cuarto de baño. Nada que ver con la habitación de cortinas verdes que aparece en vuestra página. Habíamos cogido una habitación con categoría superior y desde luego que no reunía las condiciones como tal. Nos dieron una llave de una puerta trasera con el fin de que saliéramos del hotel sin pasar por recepción, después supimos el motivo. En recepción no había nadie al anochecer hasta las 7.00 de la mañana que abrían. Le preguntamos al recepcionista por la habitación que salía en la web y nos dijo que estaban en obras que aún les quedaba una semana para terminar. No era cierto. Días antes nos habían informado que las obras sólo eran en recepción no en las "cameras". No contentos con su respuesta, al salir a dar una vuelta, vimos como en la primera planta estaban todas las habitaciones arregladas, tal y como aparece en la web. Reclamamos y nos dieron la habitación arreglada, tal y como aparece en Internet. Se quedó pensativo el recepcionista (creemos q pensó en si había otra habitación en la q se pudiera salir por la puerta de atrás).Modesta pero limpia y arreglada. Nos trataron de engañar y no entendemos el motivo, ya que el hotel estaba prácticamente vacío, si acaso un huésped más, fuimos en marzo. Y nos fuimos con la duda de cómo sería realmente la habitación de categoría superior.
