Hotel Da Cesare - Stresa

Very easy to find coming off the ferry boat. In a wonderful location, close to the bustling piazza. Owners were kind and helpful. The room was quiet and charming. Minimalist decor, clean and contemporary. Nice breakfast and the wait staff was great. My husband and I would definitely stay again!

Good location, near to the lake. 2 mins by taxi from the train station. In the central of stresa. Staff are helpful.

In the morning the coffee can be better. Nescafé is not good.

The quality of the breakfast provided was substandard. The bread was stale, juice was not to our liking and very unusual in taste, and choices were very basic. The location was central and near the lake. It was quiet. Basic room that fit our purposes and needs.

Directions were not too clear and got a little lost. Location is great as it is in the middle of the restaurants and shops over the road from the lake. A short walk to everything of note.

The bathroom was very small. There was a good balcony, unfortunately without chairs. The room was on the third floor and there was no elevator.

Hotel was in a great location, around a 2 minute walk to the boats to the 3 islands and only around a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful. The breakfast was quite small but was included in the price. There are also plenty of restaurants around the hotel.

Hotel has a good central location in Stresa near to restaurants and the lake. Railway station is also in walking distance. Our room was very dark and cold with old furnitures and strange smell but the bathroom was quite ok. Breakfast: typical Italian.

Hotel bien situé dans la ville, propre mais bruyant

Nice simple hotel in the middle of ~Stresa right by the lake. Easy to find if you pick up a town map from the station. Quiet until 7.30am when the town clock plays a lovely wake up call every morning.

It was much too cold in the room and no parking.

Ottima posizione, parcheggio gratuito nelle vicinanze. Cucina del ristorante ottima ma per lo più la scelta dei vini veramente grande

Maybe I was lax, but never had access to a map until I got off the train and started walking. I was pleasantly surprised that it is right in the middle of the paved, auto-free shopping district, right across from the water and so accessible to all interests.

It's our first time in lovely Stresa.Location of hotel is great,especially if you only have a short time to spare.Parking is difficult to find but there are a few free public parking places, just ask at the reception.Good value for money.

When I pay for bed and breakfast I expect to receive both bed and breakfast! I also expect to get some sleep along with the bed I have bought. Now perhaps I am old fashioned but I also expect not to have to put up with incessant noise for £40 per night. Breakfast is included in the tariff at a cost of 5 Euros (£3). If you wake up in the morning with a healthy appetite then save your money and go to the local supermarket and buy the makings of a delicious breakfast for the same price or less. It will save you the disappointment of trying to eat stale bread and drink cold coffee. In fact, no. Forget it. Just don't book in to this alleged hotel in the first place - unless of course you are as deaf as a post and enjoy being treated as a unit of profitability rather than a person. Incidentally Stresa itself is absolutely wonderful - even when it rains:-)
