Hotel Victoria - Strasbourg
7-9 Rue Du Maire Kuss - Strasbourg
877-662-6988It was a tad noisy since our room was facing the street, but not really bad at all. It was nice to be so close to the train station and not too far from downtown.

This was my first trip to Strasbourg and I spent 5 nights there. I highly recommend the Victoria. The front desk staff are absolutely precious and friendly beyond belief. They all spoke English quite well and were encouraging and helpful when I tried to speak French, which I found wonderful. The hotel is very, very close to the rail station and easily accessible. You are only about a 5 minute stroll from Petite France and the cathedral. The room was actually large for a small, French hotel. I found it to be impeccably clean and quite modern. My room overlooked the street and hence, at times, a little noisy, but not terribly bad. It is a very nice hotel to have only a two star rating. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel if you are headed to Strasbourg. I can't wait to return, personally!!

On arrival, room had a peculiar odour which might have been connected with some cleaning agent for the carpet. Quite irritating.

Only stayed one night. Very handy for rail station. Friendly staff. Room small but adequate. Breakfast was extra but had to catch an early train so didn`t sample.

Friendly staff and favourable proximity to station, although that made it a bit noisy at night. Would have been a great stay if I had not been eaten alive by the bed bugs. Not even in deepest, darkest Africa have I ever encountered anything like it!

The room are quite loud, the toilet is made by plastics, fell very strange. For the same price on WE you can have a better choice like "IBIS". The staff are not very kind, and they don't accept CHEQUE VACANCE, that is the first time I see a hotel in France who refuse CHEQUE VACANCE ! I will never back again.

This hotel is located just minutes from the train station, so it was convenient for girls with backpacks.. It was on a lively street, and walking distance from everything. Room was a little loud because it was right beside the elevator. The room itself had comfortable beds, the design was dated, but clean. If it is just a place to sleep while in Strasbourg, it is fine. Staff were very friendly.

Overall very satisfied. The only 2 drawbacks were that the breakfast was not included in the price (and not clearly defined) and that the consierge could not help connect with the wifi of the premises.

Great location close to main railway station. Plenty of eating options close by. Good value for money hotel. Negatives are that the rooms are noisy (no double glazing) and no refigerator in the room. I would recommend it for budget travellers

Nice hotel, friendly staff, close to rail station and easy walking distance to city center. Only weirdness was the lack of electrical outlets. There were 3 appliances (TV, fan and lamp) with 2 outlets. No extra outlets for any of our stuff (recharge camera battery or computer) and had to choose which two things to plug in. No outlet in bathroom at all. What's up with that? Again, not a big deal. Overall, very nice hotel. Would use again in future.

Major problem was the street noise late into the night and from very early in the morning. It was not possible to sleep with the window open due to the noise.

A very basic spartan hotel which has the advantage of being close to the station and serves a good breakfast for its category. Employees were pleasant & helpful, but the room is soul-less - just bland walls with not even a picture to take away the monotony. The shower room is a plastic cubicle, but at least the shower is powerful with plenty of hot water.

The only think we didn't enjoy is that, the employees from the housekeeping knock and open the door at 9 a.m (we were sleeping, and it wake us up)

The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the newly designed main train station which now offers TGV fast train service to Paris in 2 hours and 20 minutes. The hotel is in a great location, only 10 walking minutes away from the cathedral and the Petit France area. The hotel is 100% non smoking, has an elevator and is very clean, well decorated and safe. The reception is very friendly.

This hotel is in a decent location but after this stay, I will not choose a 2 star again. The bed was very old and the mattress had a crater in the middle that my husband and I kept rolling into all night.

Cleanliness and location(near the station) are very good and the relationship between price and quality is also good. The hotel provides English TV channel is good. If I can wish additional service or facility, it is better to put a fridge and a bit wider room.

Having read a previous review I did not have the breakfast - there is an excellent cafe only 2mins walk from the hotel. The map was clear enough, but the easiest access is to take the airport shuttle/tram A to Gare Centrale (4.80 euro)and the hotel is a 5min walk straight ahead from the escalators. Although in a nice enough area, note that it is a 10min walk into the city centre. The room was small and basic, but clean and there is good water pressurein the shower!
