Hotel Régent Contades - Strasbourg

The staff were friendly and helpful; and the room was very attractive. The location was excellent: Within easy walking distance to all attractions and pleasantly quiet at night. Convenient to the EU government centers as well. An excellent boutique hotel; I can't imagine that the better known sister property would be any nicer.

Lovely hotel with wonderful views. 10 minute walk to old town. Staff very helpful. We had two rooms, one single and one double and they charged the same for each, even though one was much smaller!

We had a lovely room with a river view that was very quiet and comfortable. The hotel staff is delightful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property as it is conveniently located near the center of town, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. There is also a wonderful old world cafe just around the corner that is much cheaper than the hotel breakfast.

Great hotel in Strasbourg! Not right in the "middle" of it but close to the river and easy walking distance to sight-seeing areas (Cathedral, Petite France-which is further away). The hotel is cute, quaint, but still luxurious and the staff is so helpful. We did not eat breakfast but there are pastry shops close by. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality and value. Easy to find from the highway and there is metered parking on the streets outside (free on evenings and Sunday.)

We paid 400 euros per night, as the initial price was already very high (high season) and we had to take a junior suite because the venere website was not giving any option to rent a room for 2 adults and 1 child (as many other sites do!). Place was good and service also but not worth this price.

The room did not compare to others we had for the same or lesser price. Parking on the street was disconcerting. The directions to the hotel were incomplete and caused us to traverse the city several times.

Excellent hotel and location for visiting Strassburg. Rooms are small but well appointed for an older hotel. Service was excellent.

The hotel is located in a very nice and quiet area, 5 to 10 minutes walk from the cathedral. The service was very good. When we arrived, because they had available rooms in a higher category, we got an upgrade to a very nice room in the top floor, which was very big and comfortable. I strongly recomend this hotel and hope you get a good stay, same as mine.

For some reason my room was upgraded and I had a spectacular room with terrace overlooking the river and a beautiful church. Even without the upgrade I would stay at the Régent Contades again without question. Kind helpful staff, excellent location, beautiful hotel, and great breakfast.

Neither Venere nor the hotel staff told me that the breakfast was included in the price quoted until I checked out and paid, when I discovered it myself! This is why I give a poor rating to the staff (who didn't inform me and didn't react to my complaint) and for the quality/price ratio. Effectively I paid twice for breakfast, since I ate outside the hotel (having seen they charge 18 euros!)

No indication was given either on the website or indeed at check-in that breakfast was included in the price! It only appeared on the bill, after the entire stay. The staff should make it very clear at check in that breakfast is included in the daily rate!

Hotel Régent Contades is a very nice hotel. Very close to tram station 'Galia', excellent breakfast, staff spoke very good English and very clean. Yet, our standard room was small and very hot, even for automn. The bathroom though was totally renovated and had an excellent view. To sum up, very good hotel but the price (152 Euro per night) quite expensive.

Tour de France. The clerk at the front desk (Claude) was outstanding. We really appreciated his help and humor.

We were absolutely delighted with the Regent Contades Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were treated courteously. The hotel was exceptional as the above review highlights. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a wonderful time. We want to thank Mark and Pierre for a wonderful start to our stay in Strassboug, they could not have been of more help! The location of the hotel was a perfect walking distance to all the sites. The rooms were clean and the coffee in the morning was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our Stay was very nice. There was construction going on the a room under ours and next to our friends. This became noisy every morning @ 6a.m. The front desk did nothing when we brought the problem to them. Our friends had to change rooms. I feel the hotel should not have booked guests next to the room being worked on. Overall the stay was good. The complimentary breakfast was delightful. The hotel was located well for sightseeing and restaurants accessible on foot.

Very pleasant hotel. Great location easy walking to most destinations, close to tram.

Great facilities and excellent service and assistance offered by staff. Good location for the simple purpose of walking throughout Strasbourg. The pictures of the rooms unfortunately do not necessarily reflect the actual layout and decor nonetheless the rooms are spacious and well equipped. Car parking was, for us, on the street however this was readily available and directly opposite the hotel. The breakfast was excellent although quite expensive (€16 p.p.) for people who do not have it included in the booking price. Overall, for the cost of a night's stay the hotel is right on the money for value. I would stay there again were I to visit Strasbourg once more.

A excellent hotel. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff warm and welcoming. I could not fault it for anything except that the breakfast room was a bit small.

The only think that the hotel need is a restaurant
