Breakfast in the oldest house of Strasbourg… just superior location. Well designed room. No parking is a minus, but in 150-200m there is a Gutenberg public parking (I paid 12Eur for 18 hours).

Perfect location - right next to the cathedral. Our room was right at the top, which was really characterful, although being a historic building the windows are quite small - no great picture windows here, nor were they expected. The decor in the rooms doesn't quite fit the building - a bit 1980s. But comfortable, clean, spacious and excellent value, and the location is perfect. Recommended. We didn't eat in the hotel, but it looked very good, with a lovely dining room.

Das Hotel Baumann kann man wegen seiner einzigartigen Lage gegenüber dem Münster und dem sensationellen Feinschmecherlokal direkt im Hause nur empfehlen; die Zimmer waren modern und sehr geschmackvoll ausgestattet, vor allem sehr geräumig angelegt. Lediglich der Stadtlärm, der nachts bei geöffnetem Fenster zu höhren war, stöhrte das empfehlenswerte Gesamtbild. Man sollte wissen, daß es allerdings entgegen der Beschreibung keine Zimmer mit direktem Blick auf das Münster gibt.

The hotel is in the very heart of old Strasbourg, could not be better placed, though quiet at night. No parking.

A spectacular location in the heart of Strasbourg right beside the cathedral. A genuinely historic building with modern rooms incorporating ancient beams. The hotel is mainly a restaurant with rooms above but the staff are highly professional and very hard to fault on any detail.

Excellent location, beautiful period building but the service is awful with very bad breakfast products.The staff wears dirty clothes and doesn't even look at you at the reception which nearly exists in a windy first floor where 3 doors are always opened.

Beware of the cleaning staff. I had 50 euros stolen that I thought I had hidden well. Use the safe always.

Surprisingly nice room for such a historic building! The room was small, but given the age of the building and superb location, that was fine. There's no "Hotel Baumann" name on the outside of the building--a problem! We had to ask around. Because the Hotel is located on the historic Place dela Cathedrale, auto access is very difficult, and finding parking needs planning and assistance. Be prepared to carry your luggage a couple of blocks to the hotel. Excellent restaurant, too. All in all, a very nice place.

This hotel is located very conveniently close to many important sites in the city. If you are driving plan your parking carefully, the Gutenberg parking facility is the closest to the hotel, but is rather hard to find without prior knowledge of the city plan. This is a good hotel situated in a very historic building in the center of the city.

The hotel is perfectly located and offers everything one needs. The reception area however could use a face-lift and the elevator is beyond hope!! The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and the food served is more than excellent.

petit déjeuner à 10 euros ne les valant pas. Café tiède dans une tasse glacée. on vous fait comprendre que le service se termine à 10 heures et que l'on a besoin de la place ensuite.
