Hotel des Vosges - Strasbourg

I booked this hotel because I needed a place to sleep close to Strasbourg station. It was horrible. The room felt dirty, it was small, it was noisy. It is very cheap, but rather pay extra and go to one of the many chain hotels that is just as convenient.

good location and good hotel.

We had to change the booking and then change it back again (transport hassles). This was no problem and handled very well.

Excellent location only a few feet away from the railway station, friendly staff (although some of them seemed to be very new at their job), good prices. Very old and run down, seems like the owner/s don't take care of it anymore... Shame, it probably used to be a lovely building.

The proprietor was a great deal of help, very willing to share his expertise on Strasbourg and our future plans for Paris. Could not have hoped for more within our price range.

Good value for a hotel within 100 meters of the train station. Interior room with no view. Listed and had A/C but had no remote to operate. Antique elevator was very nice but small.

The hotel is located on the place right in front of the railway station which is very handful. Moreover it is at a very close walking distance from the historical center of Strasbourg. The entrance of the hotel is very nice (authentic historical hotel),and very charming. Rooms are a little bit old with a minimum decoration (walls painting could be reniewed). But that one I get was very convenient with a bathroom and a small TV (number of programmes is very limited to the local French majors. Room was very clean, spacious enough, and very quiet. The large 2 persons bed was good. I would have liked better pillows than the only transversal common pillow provided. The quality/price ratio is very good and I recommend this hotel without any restriction.
