everything is very nice here, clean hotel, room and bathrooms (although bathroom a bit too small), in the very center of the old city, friendly staff, only one shortcoming, no elevator, I will definitely come back here especially when I bring little luggage

Fabulous, convenient location in old city. Quaint character, well maintained and clean. Wonderful windows. Great breakfast. No elevator, so agility important. Be prepared for small room and shower, but location, character and price compensate. Parking access not easy, but positives outweigh negatives.

I loved my short stay in a dramatic setting reminded constantly of the quiet suffering of free spirited women in the Middle Ages. We enjoyed very much our Bavarian dinner at the Chez Yvonne and I found the young women working at the hotel quite interesting and very helpful.

Beautifully situated small hotel which offers comfort and convenience at a modest price. No restaurant or bar but 2 just outside the front door. My only complaint is that I could not figure out how to use the odd 'current loop' internet service from my room.

The only negative about our stay was the size of the bathroom, which was only sufficient for gnomes!! We know that European facilities are not known for their spaciousness, but this bathroom was so tiny that you could barely move around. Otherwise, the room and hotel was very nice, in a great part of town and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay there again.

One of our best hotel stays ever. Although the hotel is right in the middle of the touristy part of Strasbourg, the room provided lovely comfort. Noise was never a problem; we were able to relax, take a nap with the windows open, and take full advantage of the superb location while exploring the city. The only challenge was to find the hotel as there was no specific directions (the map on Venere was not 100% clear). Will highly recommend to anyone!

Endroit superbe au centre de la vieille ville, un peu bruyant toutefois car de nombreux cafés sont situés aux alentours. Parfait si on est là pour faire la fête également!

This hotel is in the best tourist location in Salzburg. The outstanding Alsancian Museum is a quick walk. The boat tours start a short block away as is the cathedral. The rooms are nice, except the bathroom was almost big enough to sit on the stool and close the door at the same time, but basic. There is no elevator if that makes a difference. We arrived in our room to find the toilet cleaning brush in the toilet, the bathroom unclean and no towels. The desk staff was quick to get this taken care of and aside from the bad start, our stay was peaceful and we liked the location.

a perfectly located, central small hotel. Basic, but that was what was advertised so the ideal base if wanting to spend most of your time exploring the old parts of the City and just sleep in the room. Clean, friendly staff who allowed us to leave our bags on check out day. Summary- cheap, cheerful and lovely location

An absolutely fabulous location extremely close to the main cathedral. Rooms was as described and larger than I have experienced in much of Europe. There was ample room to walk on either side of the double bed if we utilized the wardrobe, which fit our 2 large suitcases. Bathroom was nothing special with a small shower stall. Hotel has no elevator and a rather tricky curved staircase. The receptionists were polite and made restaurant reservations for us. There are numerous restaurants and cafes in the area. After hours requires a code to enter the building, but the desk was always staffed. The hotel is also only a few blocks (less than 5, but I don't remember the exact number) from the city's tram line, which runs several times an hour and stops at the main train station where you can connect to TGV and other lines to France and Germany. Would stay here again.

Very much enjoyed my stay at the Hotel des Arts. The room and bathroom were clean and welcoming. You can't beat the location. It is literally upstairs from several cafes and steps from the boat tour and cathedral. It might be a little loud for some people but I found it perfect. There is no parking but just across the river there is a garage for 7,5 euros per day. I traveled for 10 days around France and this was my favorite budget hotel.

We spent 3 nights at the Hotel des Artes (Citodel is a group and the name is not used there). It is in a great location, just 2 blocks from the Cathedral, yet quiet, on a mostly-pedestrian street. Given the location, the value was excellent. The staff was very helpful. There is no lobby, just a desk and breakfast area.

We had a perfect stay at the Citodel des Arts in Strasbourg. The location was great for walking to major sights. Rooms were very clean and carpeted wall-to wall. Super comfy beds and great shower. The 5 Euro buffet breakfast was a bargain with fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh breads and croissants and a machine that would make any type of coffee you wanted by just pressing a button. Helpful staff. One drawback - no elevator - but we were only one flight up, so it wasn't really a problem. Highly recommended!

I do wish the hotel would state that breakfast is not included on their web info.It seems that it is not included in most hotels in this overpriced town.Had a beautiful view from the window.Location is superb. Bathroom was spotless.Shower was heavenly.CNN was a welcome addition to the room. Considering the prices of other Strasbourg hotels-this one is a find!

We stayed at Des Arts for two nights. It is a perfect location, a courtyard in the old town which is a hive of activity and always buzzing. This can mean it is a little noisy. Our room opened up to this courtyard which cafes and restaurants directly below us. The rooms are clean and pleasant enough. Didn't try the breakfast but no need to with food so close by. The depature point for the cruise boats is around the corner and trams 5 minutes walk. Defnitely recommended.

We found the hotel exceptionally well placed. Temparature of the room was comfortably warm and the window opened for fresh air as needed. The staff were courteous and helpful. Requests for our room were dealt with instantly. Booking was very easy. We arrived late and were in the area of the hotel but people did not know the street name which we could not find on any map either so I wonder if it would be a good idea to give a close-by more well known address. The Rue aux Poissons was on all maps but we didn't know how close that was to our hotel. The taxi driver did know it of course but everything else was so smooth it was just inconvenient that we couldn't find it ourselves. Our comments reflect the price we paid. Clean, efficient, pleasant, well situated accommodation for the price paid.
