If you want a simple clean room just to sleep and shower in, this is an excellent place to stay within a few minutes walk of the centre. Safe Parking (I was on a motorbike, so parking near the centre was important for me) in a yard with a gate right next to reception that is locked at night.

This hotel is in a great location to explore the heart of Strasbourg on foot. Breakfast is not included and not worth it for 9 euro per person; you probably want to skip it and head straight for a neat little tea room in nearby Rue des Mineurs on the way for some shopping at the Halles. The rooms are somewhat small but clean enough, if in need of being refreshed, especially the old, small TV. Also the shower was clogged, which is a first for me in a hotel. Also was given a room right by the staircase, another first, which proved somewhat noisy, though rarely. Helpful and smiling staff for directions and things to see. Overall, at this price, a 7, definitely not an 8.

Friendly reception staff - I was given a good map of Strasbourg as soon as I arrived. I was a single person but was given a twin-bedded room, so there was plenty of space. I was pleased to see there was a bath (rather than a shower), and the bathroom itself was very clean. There was some traffic noise, but this was only a minor problem - it became quiet during normal sleeping hours. For a good local restaurant, try 'Le P'tit Clement' on Place Clement: I had snails followed by a tarte flambee.

If you come from Paris, Highway A4
take the exit N° 51 Strasbourg Centre Ville. You will arrive to the Place Haguenau, then take direction Parking Broglie Printemps, you will arrive Rue du Faubourg de Pierre.

If you come from Colmar, Highway A35
take the exit N° 2 Place des Halles, then take direction Parking Broglie Printemps. You will arrive Rue du Faubourg de Pierre.

If you come from Germany
take the Highway A4 direction Paris, then take the exit N° 2 Place des Halles, then take direction Parking Broglie Printemps. You will arrive Rue du Faubourg de Pierre.

If you come from the railwaystation
take the Rue du Maire Kuss located in front of the railwaystation. At the end of that street take the Quai St-Jean on your left, then the Quai Kléber. At the end of the Quai Kléber take on the left you will arrive Rue du Faubourg de Pierre. It takes 10 Minutes ago from the railwaystation to the hotel.
