Hotel Bristol - Strasbourg

A real mess. My room was never cleaned. The welcome was cold. The room service almost non existant: after I complained about the room not been done, I asked for a towel that I got ..6 hours later. The facilities,breakfast,payment,booking,further communication was a mess and the girl in the evening shift refused to speak in English to me! Not to menion that I could hear the toilet flush of the above floor clients every time they went to the wc!

Very good location. Wi-Fi is free of charge, but filtering SNS, BBS.

The hotel is located directly on the plaza right across from the train station. The room was small, but not surprising for Europe. There is a walk to the old town area and the neighborhood to get there is a little dirty and caused some concern, but appeared relatively safe. I'm not sure how I would feel about it at night though.

This hotel was recently renovated and the facilities are of a good standard in this small old Strasbourg house. The Hotel provides a very convenient (for the station and tram system) location, surprisingly quiet, and very helpful and courteous staff. Excellent value for money.

Due to the weakness of the bushdollar, Europe is an expensive proposition for American tourists. This of course is not the fault of the hotel. I would note that the Bristol was the only hotel in which I stayed that billed extra for breakfast.

Ideal location to transport and city. All needs catered for within walking distance. Staff at hotel very pleasant and helpful. Language was not a barrier.Beds were comfortable and spotless clean. Always very warm. Constant hot water - not limited. Food on offer well presented and fresh. One to book again next year. A shower would be nice but not essential. In the process of being updated but this did not interfer with our stay.

I would say the quality of the hotel was only fair. Fixtures in the bathroom were loose and kept falling off. Mrs. H. Sincoff, who traveled with me and had a different room had countless problems with her room and had to have it changed. Even after the change the television constantly broke down. The management was not able to repair the teleision or to provide her with one that worked properly. She was most dissatisfied with her stay!

My daughter and I chose this hotel because of its location to the train station. The photo on venere does not represent the exterior of the hotel. The entire train station square in front of the hotel is torn up with construction and very noisy during the day. Good restaurants in the area and a short walking distance to Petite France and the cathedral. Very strange 2 level bathtub, but we worked with it. Room very spacious. Internet access expensive, but did include satellite TV. Lobby quite nice. We felt a little uncomfortable walking in this area at night. Overall, good stay.

I arrived late on a Sunday night and the doorman who opened up the hotel was expecting me. Registration was very speedy. The room was small - but that is par for the course in Strasboug. The bathroom was a decent size but it had a window that was permanently open, though this was not a problem in May. The bedroom had a nice wall-hanging which offset the impersonal effect that you can find in so many hotels. I did not have any need to use the services of the hotel but the staff seemed friendly and competent. Breakfast consisted of rolls, juice, fruit, yoghourt and coffee. They did not have the almost ubiquitous buffet - for which I was mightily thankful. It is good have hotel still offering the traditional continental breakfast and giving value for money in the process. All in all, my stay was a pleasant one and I would certainly use the Bristol again.

Extremely satisfied with the staff at this hotel, the Hotel Bristo;l. I stay in a lot of hotels and was very impressed by their kindness, their welcome and efficiency.
