Hotel Reviews Norrtull

Finland, Sep 2009
The room was very plain, but clean, quiet and spacious. Bathroom with a shower was in excellent condition. Scandinavian style breakfast was excellent. In front of the hotel is a buss stop for the bussess to Arlanda airport. The location in the Northern part of the city is convenient particularly for those visiting the Karolinska hospital or institute (with a 10-15 min walking distance from these places). Of course, if you came to see the city center, then you might choose a more centrally located hotel, although it is only a short buss ride from hotel Norrtull to the center.

A very nice hotel and the personnel very helpful and kind. The breakfast was very good, everything you can imagine. The rooms very spacy and in a nice style.

I think the price is very excessive for a room with only a window in the roof. And the hotel is located outside the centre of the city. But there is bus just near the hotel and the metro is at 10mn to walk. Stockholm is excessive and ... boring....

I liked the ambiente very much, chilling bar for the evening and a good breakfast.

MOLTO SVEZIA!!!

This is actually my second time at Hotell Norrtull. I was quite satisfied with my first visit and decided to return to the location. However this time around, I was unfortunate enough to get a room facing the street. The room itself was of decent size. However, due to the direction it's facing, it became very hot in summer. Although on the 4th floor, it was still having much of the noise from the street below. Sleeping in the room became quite a problem since you have to make the trade-off between noise and the heat. Otherthan that, the general quality of service is good. Although I would like to see some towel racks installed in the bathroom so towels can be placed after they are used. The way it is now is pretty much not possible to hang up anything there. If no air conditioning is installed in rooms facing the street, it's better to request a room facing the courtyard. Other than that I don't have much to complain about the facilities. Sure it would be even better once the renovations are finished.

I stayed in Hotel Norrtull together with my parents and brother, and we all enjoyed our stay there. Welcoming was very nice, and i was happy that breakfast was already included in our price for the room, however after i did booking it said breakfast and parking won`t be included in the price. Talking about parking...Hotel doesnt have it`s own car park nearby, so we just parked on the street. At this area had to pay 12 Kr per hour(but evenings and weekends are free):) Breakfast was very nice, big choice. As we stayed in family room, can say i recommend this hotel to family with children. Room was nice and we all had a lot of fun just because of all staying in one room( that was something new):) Thanks!

We didn't stay a lot at the hotel, as we were wandering all day, but the rooms were clean and the personnel helpful. The bus stop from and to the Arlanda airport is just outside the hotel as well as a bus stop to the city (N.65).

Good choice. Only one drawback: 1.5 Km to the underground station

we had two family size rooms, which were quite spacious by european standards, across the hall from each other in an alcove, and were able to communicate back and forth fairly privately, and without feeling like we were disturbing other guests, which was wonderful for our family! hotel is VERY convenient to: bus to airport - stops right out front; bus into city - stops right around the corner; and metro - stops a few blocks down the street. Very easy to get into downtown and old town of stockholm. One of the bathrooms had a plumbing problem, which created an odor when shower was not running, but to their credit, they didn't assign the room until we requested it because of it's convenient location to our other room... and then they did their best to mask the odor with an air freshener... Overall, an excellent experience, and just what we needed!

Nice hotel, just renovated. Easy location, bus and underground nearby. Family room perhaps a bit small but... who cares, you're on holiday! Staff is kind and ready to assist, without being overfamiliar. We got what we paid for, no surprises. Big breakfast. Good choice, would stay here again.

First of all, we arrived (I booked on August - two months before)very late at night (I wrote them two times about our arrival time, due to the flight) and they said they had not my reservation, the said "we are overbooked", they said it was too late for a check-in so they put me and my mates in a dull room with bunk beds (without any window and bathroom!) telling us to wait the morning after to have our family room (Of course we had to pay our first night as we spent it in a standard family room). Our room had no wardrobe (we were 4!) or linen closet, the bathroom was small, without electric sockets and with a nasty kind of comin' n' goin' of the hot water. The chambermaid entered two or three times without knockin', sayin' she had to clean the room (with us inside?). In the dining room some other waiter kept asking us our room number everyday and in the end at the moment of leaving they wanted to see my receipt 'cause my payment didn't appear anywhere. Draw your own conclusion... In favor I can say this hotel is in a quiet nice position, there are a bus stop in front of and a subway station far about 500-600 mts_not the best if you mean to stay in the City Centre (Central Station or Gamla Stan). I hope I've been of some help.

there were no closets, they didn't change the bedsheets, there were no hair dryers, there was a central air conditioned (directly towards your head) with no possibility for the guests to switch it off (it was very bad in the night).
