The bread is baked in-house with tender care; the butter is made from hand beaten organic milk from Bergell and the joghurt is produced in Val Müstair. The secret of the joghurt lies in "good meadows, fine herbs, graet milk and worthy ingredients - plus careful hands".

This hotel has been designed to attract Japanese visitors and unless you like Japanese minimalist decor it is a bit austere and doesn't make the most of the beautiful building. However, the big drawback is that most of the rooms except those at the front, overlook the roof of the main dining room and a facilities yard. A Japanese garden has been planted on the roof but it looks like weeds. The views are therefore pretty dreadful unless you pay to be at the front of the hotel. Food excellent, (with the exception of breakfast tea and coffee which was undrinkable) service good and trying hard.

Excellent hotel service, friendly staff, very competent & would do whatever was needed to suit your needs. We have a daughter so their kids club was a HUGE advantage which was open from 9am to 9pm; they would take great care of kids, take them out to play, go to lunch with them, etc.

By car
St. Moritz is located in the Upper Engadine just about in the middle of the triangle formed by Zurich, Milan and Munich. You can easily reach your holiday destination using the Rhätische Bahn railway, the good road network or by air.
By car: You may reach the Engadine by car from anywhere within Switzerland, from Italy, Germany and Austria - safe and comfortable.

Car Transportation by Train. Take your car on a train ride! From Thusis or Klosters Selfranga (Vereina) drivers have the option of boarding trains of the Rhaetian Railway with their cars. Aside from being a spectacualr experience, this is especially practical in winter when the snowed in roads are accessible to 4 wheel drive vehicles and vehicles with snow chains only - if at all! The Fluela pass for instance is closed during winter.

Autobahn Tax: In order to use the autobahn in Switzerland it is mandatory for drivers to purchase the "Autobahnvignette Schweiz" (Swiss autobahn tax sticker) and affix it to their windshield. The sticker is good for a whole year and may be obtained at customs offices, gas stations and post offices among others.

By train
Take a train of the Swiss Federal Railway (Schweizerische Bundesbahn, SBB) to Chur. Once there, change trains and take the Rhaetian Railway (Rhätische Bahn, RhB) to continue your journey.
The train route through the Grisons to the Engadine with its tunnel turns and viaducts bridging giddy heights is one of the most interesting and picturesque routes of Europe. Since November 1999 there is also the possibility of taking the line through the Vereina tunnel, which shortens the trip from Zürich to St. Moritz, for example, to less than four hours.
By airplane
Flight connections to and from the international airports of Zurich, Geneva and Basel. From there and from the airports of Milan and Munich one has direct connections to Samedan - St. Moritz. Air taxi connections to many national and international destinations are also maintained.

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel.
