Hotel Stille - St. Moritz-Bad, St. Moritz

It all depends on expectations. If you expext a hostel full of young peeple and students, if you are aware of the fact that you will be sharing the bathroom with another room, well, that's what you'll get: instead...I didn't know! Fortunately we stayed there just one night! Besides there are no double room (only twin) and the heating is too high. Anyway I must say that employees are very very kind! In the end, price is too high in relation with quality and service provided, but maybe not so high if we compare it to other hotels in St Moritz (but....what makes St Moritz so special?!?!?)

The Stille is an unusual (to one with a North American frame of reference) institution. It's most significant positive is that it is relatively economical for the market in it's resort location. Also on the positive side, the staff (one gentleman, so far as we could tell) was extremely pleasant and helpful. The Stille provides basic functionality, but no frills. It is curiously, somewhat sureally, located in an area of light industry, in two buildings, both of which also house various businesses (the first floor of the building our unit - two floors up - was in was home to a printing plant). It is on the edge of St. Moritz rather than centrally located, but a longish walk or a relatively convenient public bus ride will get you to the center in a few minutes. The unit we occupied included cooking facilities, and appeared to be a low-end condo/apartment which is likely occupied by owners in-season and rented out as hotel space during the off season (when we were there). I might stay there again, but only after a more careful review of the options.

Overall this hotel is okay. Clean and staff are helpful. Just in low season, they didn't provide meal in their restaurant. Only provide breakfast (non cook food). Other time, the restaurant is closed. We even cannot get any hot water for drink. The location is bit far from train station. But can take the local bus and walk around 5 to 10 mins back to hotel.

This is the best hotel we stayed at during our entire European trip. Highlights of course is the town of St. Moritz itself and the surrounding Alps.

This facility was clean and the staff welcoming, but it was a studio apartment, not a hotel room. There were no supplies like soap available. Outside the room was construction, but just beyond that some lovely woods.

Fantastic location and lots of space for two teenagers in the apartment. There were five beds in total in two different rooms. Very close to public transport and the staff were very helpful in organising all our needs including our ski equipment.Very clean and organised and lots of personal touches in the apartment.Enough bedding good heating and has a nice bathroom. Also access to a pooltable and the internet was great for the kids. Close enough to take our luggage on foot to catch the bus to the train station.Good breakfast also. They were also very helpful and quick to respond by email.Would definitely stay again at this apartment.

Best budget hotel in St Moritz. The service we received was absolutely superb - very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

The relationship between price and quality was not very good. However, the area is expensive. The restroom/shower was shared between 2 rooms. Luckily, the other room was vacant and we didn't have to share. The room resembled a hostel or a dorm. The furnishings and decorations were very old. We were there for only a night in order to catch the Glacier Express. The room met our needs for only a quick overnight stay. The owner did allow me to access the internet via his personal computer.
