The Hotel is immersed in a fantastic natural park, amidst centuries-old Holm-oaks, in a setting so peaceful that it's almost unreal, and just a stone's throw from Spoleto, a town where art, culture and history live together, offering the tourist the opportunity to experience unique sensations.

A 15 minuti da Spoleto per una strada tutta curve e tornanti, ma ne vale la pena. Posto pieno di verde e tranquillità, gestori cordiali, buona cucina.

My main complaint is the bathroom which was small with a showercabinet so small it bordered on unusable. Unfortunately the floor had been tiled by an unprofessional using to large tiles where the floor slopes to the drain. This had resulted in cracks and subsequent leakage to floor underneath. This had resulted in mildow (invisble) and the characteristic smell.

Very nice hotel in a heavily wooded setting, but near a large grassy park. We stayed in a room that was in a separate building from the hotel, although connected by a covered walkway. It had a private terrace and three bedrooms, but no common room. The bathroom had a shower that wasn't in a separate cabinet or even surrounded by a curtain, so everything in the bathroom gets wet - a little akward. The staff was wonderful - helpful and very welcoming. Wireless access in the large common area worked great. Dinner in the restaurant was so-so, but hard to judge since we only had a primi on a night that was very slow for the restaurant.

Traveling with sister and a college age daughter. With a car and stoping to ask directions in Spoleto we found the turnoff, up the mountain to hotel. The suroundings are beautiful, we hiked both days there. Room 23, a triple has a balcony larger than the room with the most unbelievable views of the mountainside. The owner was really nice and helpful. I would stay here again!!!

My husband and I just spent new years eve in Paradiso, during our trip around Umbria. The hotel is located in Monteluco, a small community at the top of a mountain, 8 kilometres from the beautiful Spoleto. To get there, you need to take a small road full of curves, so beware if you are getting there at night (it is in pretty good conditions, though). Our room was en suite, with a small TV, heating, and with a lovely view. Everything was very clean, although the room was completely different from the photographs provided. As I had read that the food was good, we decided to had dinner there. We were not disappointed: the menu consisted of an interminable list of traditional Umbrian dishes, all deliciously cooked. However, the best thing about this place is the kindness of all the members of the staff. I definitely recommend the hotel Paradiso to anyone who is looking for a nice and simple family-run little hotel with very good food and warm people.

Average Hotel in a beautiful location. Very small shower recess in room. The Hotel appeared to cater for very elderly guests, they were seated inside the restaurant with set seating, pills were arranged accordingly. We sat outside,(not allowed to sit inside the restaurant)but the food was delicious.

Evening meal was amazing. Surrounds incredible. Room was Ok, very quiet. The hotel is a long way from Spoleto but beautifully set in the hills with nice walks around.

Hotel Paradiso was our favourite hotel stay of our trip. The room had an excellent view, the hiking trails were beautiful and the dinner that was prepared for us provided the best value for our money on our whole trip (it was an excellent meal!) We appreciated the serenity of the location, and enjoyed exporing Spoleto the next morning.

Despite the remote location, the welcome and quality of service was excellent making our holiday very successful. The food was "to die for"! Glad we read other people's comments telling us that the hotel was outside Spoleto which enabled us to find it easily.

A very peaceful location outside the main town which is what we wanted. Lots of paths into the forest park and possible to walk down through the trees to the Roman viaduct - a steep haul back up the hill. Only one other mature couple staying at the time though some locals came in to eat. The family were very friendly and professional. They allowed us to struggle to speak Italian though they could speak English. The evening meals were a procession of delicious local specialities freshly prepared. There is no menu but no disappointments. We had to ask them to stop though it was hard to resist trying everything

situated on top of monteluca, it is easy to find, if you know, that it is not in spoleto but outside, the owner and his family are very friendly, in march, we´ve been the only guests and we had full attention of the owner, had breakfast in a room with an open fireplace, the surrounding of the hotel are woods with great overview over the countryside, the hotel room itself was rather low built, the terrasse was big, in total we spent three marvelous days up there.

We had difficulty in finding a decent location map, otherwise the location and facilities fully met our expectations.

As reported by others, we had some trouble finding this hotel. We headed for Spoleto, knowing the hotel was in Monteluco, but could find no signs for Monteluco. After circling for quite awhile we stumbled across a sign pointing us in the right direction. After driving up the hill toward the hotel we eventually found it. Once there we enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is located across the road from a large park. It is very peaceful and quiet. We were given a room on the top floor with a very large outdoor deck. This was very enjoyable as the weather was very warm. We dined at the hotel each night. The food is excellent and is prepared fresh. Be warned the price is the same regardless of what you eat, but not over priced given the expense of Italy. There is no menu. The waiter verbally advises you of what is available and you choose what sounds good. This is a family run operation. All are welcoming and friendly making your stay very enjoyable.

Hotel was fine, but a bit out of the way from the nearest decent sized village/town. While it was extremely quite during our stay, it looks like an area that must cater for many people during peak period - with camp ground facilites and many walking trails. Clean and friendly just alittle far out of the way.

This hotel and the setting were beautiful and just the type of Italian experience I was looking for in a hotel. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast served in a lovely patio area covered with vines and flowers. We had a wonderful "typical Italian" dinner at the Paradiso. This visit to the Spoleto/Monteluco area was the highlight of our trip.

My husband and I appreciated the welcoming staff, beautiful surroundings, delicious food, and spacious room at the Hotel Paradiso. The hotel is conveniently located -- only a quick 10 minute drive from Spoleto, and the landscape was breathtaking. I think this hotel is very reasonably priced for all of extra perks, and I would definitely recommend the Paradiso to families or couples who want to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation. If you are an outdoors-type, you will love the hiking trails-- if you are more of a city person, you'll definitely want to take the trip into Spoleto for a shopping excursion.

We went early November..the only guests, but that we quite nice. The resturante was shut but the pizeria, just a short walk up the track looked after us very well. This is a very quiet, top of a mountain hotel and ,in November, we loved it.

We arrived at 9 pm, in the dark & they made us dinner! I don't think there was an elevator & we were on the 3rd floor. Nice view from large roof patio. Close to Spoleto.

The Paradiso was the highlight of our trip. We felt very fortunate to have discovered it through this service. We would recommend the Paradiso to anyone wishing a quiet, yet still very accessible retreat (Spoleto is minutes away). Be prepared for a superb dining experience. Claudio, his family, and the staff are wonderful hosts.

We did have some trouble finding it. Then someone pointed up the hill. Very nice area, quiet and peaceful. More than I expected. Help with bags, etc., everything was more than expected. Food was delicious. Would recommend and stay there again if we were to be in the area. Overall a good experience!
