Beautiful position with magnicient view overlooking Spoleto. Rooms were very spacious and a touch luxurious. Just one problem - no one spoke English and we did not speak Italian so there was much gesticulating!

The breakfast was very nice with homemade items including crostata and an egg dish, which were delicious! Spoleto is a lovely town, and we hope to return some day. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would recommend this location to others!

We spent three nights as the only guests in the hotel, and so luxuriated in our own palace! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room had a lovely view. Our only niggle was that there was no outdoor space, although we had a balcony (not wide enough to sit out). This was our first visit to Spoleto and we would certainly return to this hotel.

A great room in a Renaissance Palazzo. We could have played football in the bedroom, it had the biggest 4 poster bed we have ever slept in, and the view of the Duomo in one direction and the valley in the other was outstanding. The breakfast room had the best views on our trip and the breakfast was certainly the best - lots of fresh fruit.

L'albergo è pulito e spazioso ma con un aria decadente ed alcuni locali sono un po' lugubri, adatti come scena di un crimine.

A real chore to find the hotel by car, even with directions, but not the fault of the hotel. A charming place. Would stay there again.

Very friendly management, excellent breakfast. We got a nice breakfast buffet even though we were the only guests at the beginning of our stay. Very professional staff. The room was a little noisy as very close to the elevator. I guess all the other rooms are really quiet. Best location in Spoleto. Highly recommended. Excellent value for the price

My husband thought that this was his favourite hotel of all the hotels we stayed in in Italy. Our view was splendid, and the room enormous. We found the signs directing us to the hotel quite easily. Do not make the mistake we made and drive right up to the cathedral (duomo) as the hotel is just at the bottom of the road that leads up to it, not right beside it as stated in the description. The hotel owner is extremely welcoming and helpful, as were the other staff members. A very nice breakfast is served in a lovely sunny room overlooking the town and the country beyond. Highly recommended.

A very beautiful building and helpful staff. Large room with sitting area. Beautiful view from large windows. An excellent buffet breakfast with many choices in an elegant dining room. A 5 minute walk to the Duomo. The hotel is furnished in the original style and kept spotless.

Lovely spacious room. Best breakfast in terms of quality, variety and ambiance of our month in Italy. Good location. The hotel maintains a sense of the opulence of bygone days. Breakfast room gracious and elegant .

Stayed there in late May 2006 for two nights based on other reviews on this site. Can only re-iterate what others have said. Great location and views, comfortable rooms in the older style, great breakfast and very friendly staff. English is not a problem. Make sure you study the map to get there, Spoleto is an Italian hill town. It is actually easier than it looks on paper to get there, but the streets are narrow.

This is a really lovely hotel. It is not like a luxury hotel in North America, the experience is more like staying in an old palace. The rooms are beautiful and the location is great. The atmosphere here is special. The breakfast was also the best I had in Italy in three weeks. If you want to stay somewhere that is charming, very nice and a little different, this is your place. I would strongly recomend this hotel and also spoleto.

IT Un luogo incantevole nel cuore della città medievale. Si tratta di un antico palazzo restaurato finemente. I gestori sono molto amabili e gentili. EN Excellent accommodation in a delightfully renovated antique mansion (in the old town). Very charming and amiable host.

The hotel was in a wonderful location, downtown next to the main church (no excessive church bells at night.). Parking is available and free. The staff and owners were very hospitable. We were there during the low -winter- season and they courteously upgraded our cheap room to the beautiful blue room with a canopied bed (see website for room photos). The views are wonderful and the décor enchanting. We were traveling with a small child and to our relief the heat was excellent and was not turned off in the middle of the night like most other hotels. The hotel does have minor details that are run down, but in general it is beautiful in an boutique hotel way, do not expect modern luxury, but hand painted ceilings and damask sofas.

Great place to stay with very nice large room. It has the veiws, location, free parking, great overall setting and possibly the best beakfast room in all of Italy, with one of the best breakfasts. Had possibly the best dinner for the money at nice resturant right arond the corner from hotel. If you are in the area this is a place worth trying to stay at.

Easily the best room we had on a 10 day trip through Tuscany and Umbria. Room #10 has a full length wall of windows, with a great view of the portions of Spoleto and the surrounding countryside. We also had a sitting area, and a large bathroom. The breakfast included fresh fruit and a variety of pastries, and was served in a grand room with windows and sunlight on two sides. If you want to know what it is like to stay in an Italian mansion, this is it. Finding the hotel is something of an experience. You will need to drive through the "Traffic Limited" Zone," and the trip from the hotel to the parking lot is on a street that is only one lane wide but that has traffic going in both directions. If you plan to go to Spoleto, this is the place to stay.

The Palazzo Dragoni is a charming palazzo located right next to the basilica of Spoleto. It is a Residenza d` Epoca so there is a lot of historical and intimate atmosphere to the whole place. Our room was very spacious, decorated beautifully and had a breathtaking view of the city. It was also very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good though not overy sumptous but then this is Italy. Also, finding a parking space was not a problem as the hotel provided us with a pass that allowed us to park right next to the hotel. We loved every minute of our stay there and would definitely stay there again.

Rooms vary greatly in size and view. We were up graded to a spacious room with an incredable view at no additional charge. Manager(owner?) was extremely nice and helpful in every regard. Furnishings and finish was a little worn.

The location and the rooms of this hotel are wonderful. You're in the center of town, can walk to all the sites and restaurants, yet it's not noisy. The views from the rooms are amazing and there's no better way to start the day than from their breakfast room. The staff is also attentive and personable. Just a great place to stay. The only problem we encountered was initially finding it when we drove into Spoleto.

We had a room with a small balcony (big enough to stand on)with amazing views. The breakfast room has the same view. The building itself is a wonderful old structure with charm and character. The employees were helpful and courteous. The room and bathroom were large with adequate appointments. However, this is not a modern facility. If you are looking for the luxury and perfection found in a modern 4 or 5 star hotel, this is not for you. It is a beautiful hotel in a historical structure.
