Near to the art gallery and close to the shops. We loved the view from our window, we could hear the noise from the fountain but it was not too disturbing.

Nice hotel in a great central spot. The owner and the staff were very helpful and friendly when we stayed in a cold and snow-covered Spoleto.

Good hotel in excellent position. Our room was large with double aspect views which over looked the square, which was nice. The town was fairly quiet when we arrived at 6pm but later on in the evening it was really busy and buzzing with people. Breakfast was on the terrace, there was plenty of choice, fresh friut, bread rolls, meat, cheese and cakes. As much fruit juice and coffee as you could drink. Would stay there again if visiting Spoleto.

Friendly and helpful staff, very good location in the historic part of town. Good breakfast. There is no map of where the hotel is in town on the website as with most other hotels. Luckily it is not too difficult to find if you can get a Spoleto map at the train station. Just take the bus going up to the old town from the train station and get off at the Piazza S Domenico, the hotel is just a couple of meters further on. The info centre at the Piazza Della Liberia was very helpful, worth a visit.

This was our first time staying at Hotel Charleston but if we were to go back to Spoleto, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The hotel was in a great location! Spoleto is a charming place to visit and this hotel helped to make our visit wonderful. The only negative was there was not a shower curtain around the tub shower but after I called down to the desk the sent one right up :)

Helpful staff, a pleasant, light and airy room on the top floor, plenty warm enough in November. It's well situated and possible to walk (20') with wheeled lugage from the station. Breakfast adequate including fresh fruit and croissants. Staff friendly and helpful. We would happily go back.

Easy to find thanks to good signage in town. Parking a nightmare, so paid to put it in their garage - they did this for us. Courtesy etc was excellent. Buffet needed better choice of bread, although range of everything else was good. Excellent situation for exploring Spoleto and surrounds

Spoleto is gorgeous and the Charleston Hotel was the perfect place to stay - close enough to all the sights but far enough away not to be bothered by noise. The rooms are spacious, the communal areas pleasant and breakfast is served on a dlightful little terrace. I would happily stay there again.

It would have been useful to know that there was a charge for carparking (10 euros per night) but otherwise we had an excellent stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was comfortable and clean and the town and surrounding area beautiful.

Very nice buffet breakfast. Lovely lobby and seating area and nice rooms. The service was excellent as two special requests were followed up on immediately. This conveniently located hotel is in the old town and has high ceilings and lots of tile. The only real problem was that there was no heat. Spoleto is very hilly - we had sunny days which means cold nights. The room was cold and the bathroom was very damp and cold. Staff told us nobody in this area could turn on the heat till November 1st. Spoleto is classy and enjoyable but this was an unpleasant surprise.

The hotel is ideally located in old town Spoleto, and if I return I will definitely book a room in this facility. The one problem we had was with the television, since the vcr hookup was a problem. We could see a movie but did not have sound. I would like the management to make improvements in this area, and perhaps offer more films in English. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay in Spoleto!

Meaningless to ask about "staff" as such as one receptionist was highly qualified and friendly while a couple of others were rather useless in the sense that they were absent or absentminded. We have one objection to the room: The beds were so soft that we had to pull the matresses onto the floor in order so survive with our backs functionable.

The room was at the top of 4 flights of stairs and being at the top of the building was fairly hot. More comfortable rooms are on the lower floors. Breakfast room small and fairly cramped.

This was very cheap in November, and only because of that was it worth 43 euros per night. Room was terribly noisy and cramped. Staff was helpful, but public spaces were not rustic as pictured.

A charming hotel in a pretty location. The staff were friendly and professional, the breakfast was nicely presented and the bedroom was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
