Staff was very accomodating. Don't expect much English. I enjoyed testing my Italian for 4 nights. Reporting my day and briefly visiting the bar in the evenings made me feel very welcome. My room was great. Parking in the city lot was easy and convenient.

I stayed 2 nights and the Hotel Aurora was excellent. Beautiful room , quiet, and with a balcony. The Ristorante Apollinaire below the Hotel was a great experience--quite the best Italian food I have enjoyed. The waiter was so professional and his reccommendations were a joy. Also the Il Tempio del Gusto is superb.

We stayed here for one night only before moving on to other places in Umbria, which incidentally is a great place to visit, and found the staff delightful. We had prebooked at Ristorante Apollinare which is in the lane next to the hotel and gives folks who stay there a discount. This is well worth a visit. We had the set menu, which was delicious. This is a pretty little town and has some interesting archeological sites. Easy to spend a couple of days here. There is a little orange bus(local) which runs in a continuous loop between Spoleto station and the Piazza where the hotel is located, making things very easy.

Cute little hotel just off the main square. Everything was fine-clean quiet room and bathroom. Good night's sleep and good breakfast in the morning. Friendly, accommodating yet relaxed staff. I would stay here again.

Zentral gelegen, leckers Frühstück, Bad war ein bisschen gewöhnsbedürftig (Dusche ohne Duschwanne?!); aber insgesamt weiterzuempfehlen

We stayed at the Hotel Aurora having read reviews of same on Trip Advisor and were not dissapointed. The hotel is well positioned being near all the major sites, restaurants and bars as well as opposite the tourist office. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to parking. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was generous. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Spoleto.

Convenient for centre of Spoleto, on site parking. Breakfast average, not too much choice. Restaurant next door but did not try it, small eating places nearby.

For a clean, comfortable, inexpensive, well located small hotel in the heart of old Spoleto, the Aurora is hard to beat. I stayed here on my first visit to Spoleto and had no hesitation in returning for a second visit. It is located high on the hill just below the church off of a lovely small piazza with several excellent restaurants and museums, including the preserved Roman theater, nearby. If you rent a car in Spoleto (I highly recommend Avis, they will deliver to the Aurora for just 15 Euro), note that parking at the hotel is limited. The Ristorante Appolonaire next door is highly regarded. This is a great launching point for a tour of Umbria...excellent, inexpensive train service from Roma Termini.

Je regrette beaucoup que l'adresse de l'hotel mentionne une si petite rue très difficile à trouver sur le plan alors qu'il serait très facile de mettre le nom de la grande voie proche.

Parking a problem - limited to 3/4 cars which must be small to access "entry tunnel". Public parking near hotel must be paid by hour up to 8pm ALL days. Outside view of hotel somewhat off-putting but inside clean and tidy. Excellent restaurant close by. Spoleto interesting town.

Aurora in a great location with a very nice staff. Everything was above the average especially considering this is Italy. Wish our experience with hotel, breakfast, staff and pricing was this good when we got to Rome. What a difference! DO NOT stay at the Tirreno Hotel in Rome.

Be sure you have a small enough car to fit in the parking lot. Its just off a main strip in Spoleto, but a tight fit for cars. Parking is limited in Spoleto anyway so this wasn't a problem. The hotel is a nice find, in a great town. The price was right too. They speak limited English so be sure and know your Italian. This is a good place for people who may know the language a bit better. We thought it was a great little place.

The Hotel Aurora is in a great location near the Teatro Romano and was a very good value for the price. Room was clean, nice bathroom, good breakfast. You have to park around the block, but the hotel provides permits for the dashboard allowing parking in an otherwise restricted area. I would go back there anytime.

This hotel is splendidly placed for the historic centre but parking in the hotel grounds is extremely limited and outside in the piazza the car-parking is metered. When we arrived we were assigned a room on the second floor up several flights of stairs (there is no lift). The room was very small and dark as it did not have a proper window. We returned to the desk and complained as we had stayed in this hotel before and knew that many of the rooms were far superior. The receptionist initially said there was nothing he could do, but as we were unloading our luggage from the car another member of staff came out and assigned us a different room. We were extremely pleased with the new room which was spacious, comfortable and quiet, but would have been very dissatisfied if we had had to stay in the one originally assigned. Breakfast is pretty basic with severely watered down fruit juice but at the price one would not expect a lot more.

The staff was very accomodating - though they did not speak very much English. The hotel's location was great as it was only a five minute walk to the doumo, other sites, and good restaurants.
