We were given a room in the cellar it was damp and claustrophobic. No other rooms were available so we did nt stay and went eldewhere.

This is a realy nice hotel with a spacious lounge, welcoming bar and vast dining room. The bedrooms that we were allocated were very clean, spacious and serviced to a very good standard. It would be nice if there was an option of a special dining area/room for breakfast to be served at table rather than the help yourself buffet for all.

For the price we paid, this is a good hotel. Breakfast could be better, the usual not enough staff. I would not like to pay full price but with Venere it worked out the same as the local B&Bs. Excellent location on Lord street.

We have written to Prince of Wales, regarding very bad a la carte problem, which we refused to pay for, and other problems which we hope they are going to deal with

This hotel was poorly decorated in desperate need of refurbishment and rennovation, fine if I had stayed there 30 years ago as I am sure it was new then. I certainly would not stay at this hotel ever again.

I was most impressed with our stay at the Prince of Wales. Our room was on the lower ground floor, this section of the hotel has been completely refurbished. The room, a triple, had only a view of a back yard but was large with a separate dressing area and a whirlpool bath. We only had breakfast which was buffet style and rather busy but the food was excellent and plentiful. We will definately stay at this hotel again.

I found the rooms spacious. The service at breakfast was adequate although I had to remind waiters two or three times to bring tea/coffee. There was one waiter who was good and seemed to be doing most of the running around. The location was good and the bar staff friendly but sometimes I got the impression they were rushed.

romm dirty shabby and with mould on the walls where the paper had fallen off due presumably to damp.food expensive and mediocre poor choice of menu.dinner and breakfast poor choice for non meat eaters and vegetarians.all in all we would never recommend this hotel. It is high qhality hotel prices for cheap shoddy guest house standards. Our bedroom would not pass an environmental health inspection. extremely disappointed
