The only problem was that there were so many stairs and it was very difficult for my elderly mother. Also it is so far up a winding road as to make it difficult to get to. The goods part is that it is far away from the craziness which is Sorrento and was fairly close to Positano.

We stayed in a quadruple room. Beautiful views! We had a car, so the drive was o.k. Hotel suggested dinner at Le Palme. They picked us up from the hotel and drove us back! The view is absolutely stunning from the restaurant. Would definately stay at this hotel again.

We absolutely loved staying at this hotel, the views are amazing, the swimming pool is very nice and the staff very helpful. The restaurant nearby (Le Palme) is very good too. We only wish we could have stayed longer! It is quite a distance from Sorrento so we found useful to have a car.

we arrived late in the evening but received a warm welcome. we were given a spacious room with a large patio with a great view. the bathroom was a bit cramped and the shower very small. with a bit of planning i think it would have been possible to omit the bidet and install a bath. breakfast was very generous especially compared to other places in which we have stayed.in addtion to juice/coffee/croissant there were also cereal/cooked meat/rolls/yoghurt/pasties/cake. there was plenty of coffee, very black and strong served by a lovely old lady. if you are staying here for any length of time (we stayed 7 nights) you may want to hire a car as we did. we decided a couple of days to take the bus into town but after waiting 30 mins gave up. one thing - the guide book provided by the hotel is brilliant. in over 35 years of travelling it is the best ever by a considerable margin. on our first night the hotel sent to us to le palme for dinner which was very good (and they drove us back after the meal). we ate 3 excellent meals in sant'agata (a pretty town with a real local feel to it) at da cardillo. it's a family run restaurant with great freshly cooked food, very friendly service and good prices (about 35euro for a good meal with house wine or beer for two persons) the bar in the hotel is tiny so there was not much chance to meet fellow guests and have a chat but this is a minor issue. overall we enjoyed our stay very much and doubt that you will find better value in sorrento

We chose the hotel as our anchor point for Amalfi Drive and Capri Island trip. This place is great if you drive. If not, the long trip uphill to the hotel could be inconvenient. But for us that rented a car and had a GPS, the drive there is not that bad. The room was a very pleasant surprise. The bay view is exellent and we took a lot of pictures. The room itself is OK. My mom particularly liked the bathtub which is the most slip-proof one she had used. Wireless internet is not accessible in the room, probably because the room was too far. But in the common area it works well.

Excellent quality vs. price. The place is not really fancy but the view is amazing and the attention is very good. The only thing is that it is up in the mountain, but only 10min drive from Sorrento downtown area.

I really loved our stay at Villa Fiorita. I definitely recommend getting one of the balcony rooms, when we went it was only 10 Euro more. It was well worth the view. You can get the same view from dinning room and pool, but it was really nice to bring back a bottle wine and sit on the balcony to enjoy the view of downtown Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. We had a slight bit of trouble finding it (we had a car and drove), as I didn't think it was as far up the hill as I thought. But we eventually got there. It is not in downtown Sorrento, but up in the hills overlooking it (ofcourse this is what gives you the breathtaking views). There are free shuttles that run from early in the morning to like 10-11 at night, to take you down the hill to Sorrento. We also got in a bit late and wanted something to eat and the hotel very nicely called down to Ristorante Don Pedro, where they came and picked us up. The hotel was nice. It was quite, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was pretty good. The breakfast was your normal italian breakfast, although they did have prosciutto which was a nice addition. Other than that we did not really take advantage of any of the amenities at the hotel (pool, etc) we were site seeing most of the time (definitely hit up Capri while you are there), so I can't say much for the rest. Oh as for parking, the do have some, but they take your keys and park it in a lot somewhere. It wasn't a problem as we had just drove there, and left it while we visited the area. Other than getting there I wouldn't drive around anywere on the Amalfi coast, it just too tight and no parking. Overall it was a good hotel with great view . I think it was a good mix of cost and quality. You'll find more expensive place if you want to be in downtown Sorrento. I would recommend the hotel for anyone and would go back again.

We had a nice room is a very nice hotel. No complaints about the food or service, which were both excellent. We were told that we could use the internet free from their hot spot sitting down at the bar area, which we did. Found out it worked from our room; thus, used it there. Arriving via the SITA bus was a bit of a chore. Seems like not all buses from the Sorrento station labelled as indicated would stop at the Villa Fiorita stop. We had to wait 45 min. for the next bus. But our experience was great!

The views from this hotel were great, the price reasonable, the rooms a bit cramped (we had one of the more spacious rooms). The place shares the building, the yard, and the pool with another hotel, Le Terrace - which "Venere" should explain more clearly. The location is a good starting point for day excursions. The best beach around, if you want to sun bathe and swim, is in Nerano, about 20 minutes drive. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One small negative was that the internet connection is not good - they at least do have a computer, in a small bar behind the reception, which you can use, but don't count on privacy. Overall, if you have a car and want to have a simple vacation with a lot of visual stimulation and without the hassle of Napoli, not bad - one could consider coming back.

My wife and I have just returned from 2 weeks at this great wee hotel. The staff couldn't have been more attentive, and the room and facilicities were ideal. The restaurant in the hotel offered a simple menu, but don't confuse simple with poor!! The food was excellent, and the view of the bay from the dining room is just beautiful. If there is a down side it's that it's built on a steep hill, but then there's the view over the bay of Naples. WOW!!! The hotel provide the most useful A4 sized booklet about local attractions and 'How To' sections. If you choose this hotel, ask the hotel to e-mail/fax you the location map and directions from this booklet. They're so much better than what you'll get from Venere or multimap etc. Although out of Sorrento, it really is possible use public transport to get here as well as travelling around the area during your stay. Again, contact the hotel for the relevant section of the booklet (They really should publish it you know!). Many of our fellow guests did just that. Those who didn't (yes, us) spent the holiday amazed by the abyssmal standard of driving. It is genuinely incredible that so many survive. I heartily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly Italian hotel, just far enough from the bustle of Sorrento to be peaceful, and close enough to enjoy that vibrant town!

The location is great for those of you that want excellent views (to die for) and quiet surroundings. We had three in a room which was comfortable for the week. Cleaned every day with fresh towels. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained (a proper shower/bath not one of those you have to walk around under to get wet). The room had A/C (but no fridge and no Safe). The staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant we found to be very good large helpings, price very reasonable compared to down town Sorrento. The pool was fine. It gets shade in the afternoon which we liked not being sun worshipers and a small snack bar provided food and drink. The bus service stops outside the hotel but is a bit erratic. For spectacular views take the bus to Amalfi (11 euro) and get the 'Metromare'(ferry) back (11 euro) to Sorrento harbour. Taxi from Sorrento to hotel 30+ euro (ask the price first)We liked it and would stay again for the views alone.

Very friendly staff. YES, that naughty cockrel does wake up early but otherwise area is very peaceful. Would have been nice to be able to sit outside (for breakfast or just to look at views) even though our visit was a bit out of season (pool was NOT in use yet). Maybe we could have but we didn't ask as access was not obvious. Bus service is workable although some logical forward planning is necessary if you do not have much time to see everything. We managed to go to Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello (and a quick run round Capri!)during our short visit but really you need to stay 4-5 nights if you want to have a more relaxed time of things whilst using PUBLIC TRANSPORT (Our 5 yr old son was sick on the FIRST hot, wiggly bus journey- be prepared take a carrier bag!)

What a hidden gem we found, or as we've said since our return "We found a little piece of heaven" at Villa Fiorita. The location is heavenly: hotel sits on a hill overlooking Sorrento, Bay of Naples with a view of Isle of Capri and Mt Vesuvius. It is only a bus ride from the center of Sorrento to the hotel. We were welcomed by staff who spoke extremely good English and who gave us a very good orientation to the hotel/facilities. In each room there is an excellent guide book for hotel services as well as the area sites. Room was extremely clean with fabulous view from our balcony. The restaurant has fabulous food at a reasonable price for lunch, snack and/or dinner, all served with a smile from either Ida or Giovanni. Breakfast was included with the price of the room and was very tasteful and plentiful. It was obvious that the goal of the employees was to pamper us and make our stay with them as delightful as possible - they exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend this "little piece of heaven" to future travelers.

Giovanni and his family were fantastic. This is one of the nicest, friendliest small hotels we have ever stayed in and it is fantastic value. We had a great sea view of the coast and Vesuvius. The hotel staff was the best we experienced in Italy! Giovanni was so helpful, kind, and welcoming! We strongly recommend Vila Fiorita hotel. The view is as much impressive as the gentle and kindness of everyone at the hotel. It is about 3km far from the turistic part of Sorrento but the access is easy and fast by bus (from 10 tot 15 min) - everybody gives you a great support. Breakfast is greater than the Italian Standard.

Booked this hotel as we wanted a Quad room, due to the kids, and there are not many in Sorrento. Received a complimentary upgrade to a sea view room when we arrived so we had a lovely outlook over the bay. Overall very happy with the accommodation. Having stayed in Italy before I was expecting this older type of property and was pleased to find that everything was clean. The top bunk didn't however have a safety rail which may be an issue if you have younger children. My only comment would be that there were only 3 sockets in the room, 2 of which were used for much needed bedroom lighting. The third (for the outdoor light)was not easily accessible, which meant we had to scrabble around on the floor, behind/under furniture when we wanted to use the hair drier/Ipod/chargers etc. Not a major problem and perhaps to be expected in this type of accommodation but worth a mention incase you have need of electrical points, bad knees and room enough in your suitcase for a multisocket extension! There was nothing really for the kids to do at the hotel as the pool was understandably closed (it being October)so we spent a lot of time out and about. If we had stayed longer than 2 nights I think we would have struggled to keep the kids entertained at this time of year.

We stayed 2 nights in a quad sea view room at Hotel Villa Fiorita. We were initially a little disappointed in the room because the room was tiny and the only sea view was from one small window. The staff were very helpful and did everything they could to make your stay enjoyable. The restaurant served a small selection of meals but was cheap and convenient. Breakfast was typical European but plenty of it. Buses run regularly past the hotel and are very cheap. Beware if you get a taxi to the hotel it will cost at least $50 Euro. Buses depart from the train station and stop right in front of the hotel, plenty of room under the bus for luggage. Overall an enjoyable place to stay with a breathtaking view.

What a joy to wake up and look across the Bay of Naples! Nothing was too much trouble for these good people and I will heartily recommend a stay here. Sure it is 15 minutes out of town, but the buses are frequent and the last bus is at 0045 so plenty of time to eat drink and be merry in the town. The rooms are fine and the sandwiches are to be recommended.

This hotel is not in Sorrento proper, it's up a mountain in a place called St. Agata, about a 10 minute car ride to Sorrento. We only stayed for one night unfortunately! We had a quad room which was a full bed and a bunk bed with two singles. The air conditioning was tucked away facing the bunk beds so they got the best of it, whereas we got none. The bathroom had a full standup shower and no tub (a welcome change in Italy!) The view from our balcony was spectacular and I don't think you'd have that view if you stayed downtown Sorrento! Our hosts Nino, Giovanni and Ida were very gracious. No problem with the car going to a private garage at night, it was there for us when we needed it the next day. We had dinner at the Villa Fiorita and it was very good and reasonable. Breakfast included the next morning: cereals, fresh fruit, rolls, croissants, Italian-style quiche, ham, cheese.. you wouldn't go away hungry!

We had a lovely holiday at the Villa Fiorita. It's a lovely spot, very scenic and quiet. The staff are especially helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel has v good public transport links to the whole of the Amalfi coast and Sorrento. Train journeys to pompeii and vesuvius and Naples were also relatively straight forward, bus terminus is outside rail station. Wouldn't recommend driving in the area unless used to Italian speed, narrow winding roads and mopeds. There is a village within walking distance of the hotel which was handy for excellent meals, bank etc. Saved getting on bus to Sorrento and made a lovely walk.

Gorgeous setting, friendly staff. Has airconditioning but even on a hot day it wasn't really necessary as the cliff-top setting seems to catch the breeze ... the food in the restaurant was excellent too. Our only (minor) complaint was that it was a bit noisy, but our room was next to the dining room and probably this isn't true for most rooms. Also, if you're wanting to do day-trips to local sights (i.e. Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, etc.), be warned that the roads are windy and tortuous ... the scenery is great; it's only a problem if you're in a hurry.

We spent 12 fantastic nights at the Villa Fiorita, and I would rate this as the best of the ten holidays I have spent in Italy over the years! As many other reviewers have said, the pictures on the website, good as they are, do not do justice to that incredible view! The staff were excellent in every respect - warm, friendly, welcoming and helpful. They were always available, and could not have done more for us - they always seemed happy to go the extra mile at all times of the day and night. Others have remarked on the fact that the hotel is some distance from the centre of Sorrento - to us this was actually an advantage, in terms of the quietness of the surroundings, and of course the almost "aerial" view afforded over Sorrento and the bay of Naples. Sitting on the roof terrace in the evening with a glass of wine and just enjoying the surroundings is one of many unforgettable memories for us. The quality (and quantity!!) of the food in the hotel is absolutely first class, and while the menu is not enormously extensive, the excellent fresh produce allowed us to experience the very best of Italian cuisine. The baby tomato and rocket salad is to die for, and the tiramisu must be the best on the planet!!! (no exaggeration!) I will DEFINITELY return to the Villa Fiorita, and would recommend it anyone who wishes to discover the very best that Italy has to offer. Grazie a Giovanni e tutti per un soggiorno indimenticabile!

This hotel is not in Sorrento. It is approximately 15 mins away by bus/car. There isn't too much around the hotel as it is in the mountains. So you either have to bus it or drive to restaruants, etc. I did love the location, the view was amazing. We had a sea view which was priceless. I enjoyed being outside of the city, as it was very relaxing and romantic. The pool area was nice and offered a lot of chairs. The staff was friendly and definitely helped make the trip run smoother. This hotel is easy to find, once you know which bus to catch.Easiest way is to call the hotel once you get to Sorrento station and they will tell you exactly what you need to do. The hotel is a little far from the city centre but any hotel with a beautiful view and worth staying at will be on the step mountain that this hotel is on, no way you can walk it, you need to catch a bus everyday ($5 euros tickets lasts 24hrs).Buses are always packed so be prepared to stand, It's not a long drive so that's ok. Giavanni from the hotel was very friendly and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was superb and very reasonably priced. We requested a room with the view of the Almalfi coast but none were available so they gave us a room next to the sunning balcony and the view from there was spectacular, no-one really used it so we had a huge balcony to ourselves most nights. The only issue we had was the size of the shower. It was so small that you had to suck you gut and anything else that may be in the way, to get in it. A small child, no problem, but a adult thin or not was a major challenge. A bit dissapointing but I guess everything else made up for it. Positano is a about 40 mins bus ride, that's included on you 24hr bus ticket, this is a must see, absolutely stunning. Would definately stay here again. Thanks Giavanni for your warm welcome !!!!!

Hotel was beautiful, spacious and had a great staff. Giovanni was the most helpful person I have ever dealt with in a hotel. His English is excellent and he went above and beyond even calling the airport on more than one occasion to check on our lost luggage and upgrading our room at no extra charge. The only snafu we experienced was in the location of the hotel. It is very convenient to downtown Sorrento and Positano as there is a bus stop directly in front of the property, but it is actually located in St. Agata, not Sorrento. That and the rooster that woke us up at 5am each morning. However, the views were spectacular, the bus ran on time and we would definitely stay here again.

Phantastic view over Sorrent and the vesuv. Very friendly staff in familiar atmosphere with good tips for other restaurants.Very good kitchen for dinner. We have been there with a rental car.I thhink it would be less comfortable wenn staying there by public transportation because its outside the centre of Sorrent and the way isn´short. We enjoyed our stay very much. Nice swimming pool. We´ll come back.

Lacked an elevator - we were on a 6 week trip so we had luggage. Two in the party were senior citizens and getting the luggage to the 3rd floor was a challenge that they would have preferred not to have. Good breakfast. Magnificent view of Sorrento. Local rooster gave the wake-up call at dawn.

We rented two rooms at Villa Fiorita. Both with an excellent view overlooking the pool, sea and caracteristic hills of the Surrento peninsualar. The hotel was an excellent match to our need, traveling the Amalfi coast for and visit the Island of Capri. We got a worm welcome and the atmosphere was family like from the staff. Very helpful support planning our excursions. The only downside was parking that was a definite bottleneck, but could be solved with a bit of italian improvising.

The setting was absolutely beautiful! The view of Sorrento was great. You definitely need a car to get there. It's a good 20 min winding drive from Sorrento. There were some loud barking dogs and roosters that we heard late at night and early in the morning. The restaurant they recommended was excellent, the staff was very entertaining and kind... it is pricey ... only order off the menu! Breakfast was great with fruit, cereals, yogurts, and fresh pastries. The pool was in the process of being filled, but I'm sure it'd be great to sit out there! All and all a good place if you want the view and don't mind a winding drive!

Villa Fiorita was excellent value for money at Euro100 per night for a quad room. The accommodation was clean and functional which was perfect for us since we were really only there to sleep. The staff were extremely welcoming; it appears to be family run. There was one man who spoke extremely good English. There were a lot of international guests, including families. One reason we chose Villa Fiorita was that they have a restaurant for dinner, which was easier for us than going out with children. The food wasn't spectacular, but it was fine. Breakfast was a very good buffet which included cereal as well as bread, cheese, yogurt, etc. The hotel is about 6km out from Sorrento, which was a little farther than we expected, but we found it. There is no parking at the hotel overnight, but that wasn't a problem. The staff basically provided extremely efficient valet parking to another location, and brought the car back on request in the morning. Parking in Sorrento is very scarce, we found a place some distance (perhaps 1-2 km)from the pier on the day we took the ferry to Capri. It turned out fine, but we would suggest either planning to park far from the center or taking the bus in from the hotel. Also a good idea to check ferry times to Capri in advance as they weren't very frequent. Having said that, we thought that the town of Sorrento was much more charming than Capri!

This was a great hotel for the price. We were very warmly recieved and we had the hotel almost entirely to ourselves. The hotel is about 15 minutes by bus to sorrento, but we bought a 3 day pass and it didn't bother us at all. The 3 day Arte Compania card was well worth it if you are staying that long!! You can buy it in the naples train station and it covers all transportation plus museum entrance!! The last bus leaves around 10-11 on weekdays so if you plan on staying out late this might not be the place for you. Then again there isn't much to do in sorrento at that hour. The breakfast was good, and we always had a delicious cappucino to start the day. Just don't expect an american breakfast. The pool wasn't open when we were there but we weren't really there for that. I loved sorrento, it's a perfect base for day trips to Capri, Pompei, and Naples.

Got Ripped Off!at a local restaurant that was recomended by the Hotel!! The RESTAURANT is called DON PEDROS we ate there the night of the world cup final and were hit with a bill for 110euro and all because they encouraged my wife to have FISH that was not on the MENU! IT was sad as the people came across as being so nice!

Small hotel with great views of the bay.Food in hotel restaurant was simple but delicious so we had dinner there each night of our stay. Only problem we had was travelling to and from Sorrento.Local buses ok but usually pretty packed. Most tourists seem to use them as the local taxis are very expensive for such a short ride.

We had a wonderful time at the Villa Fiorita and found the management very helpful. Good breaklast and if you didn't want to go out there is very good dining at the Villa. An absolutely breathtaking view and a bus in front to take you into Sorrento. It definitely is a place we would stay again and would recommend. It is out of town and up the mountain, so not as easily walkable as you would think, but the buses are cheap and run often and you can go just about everywhere by public transportation. If you have four in your party, I would recommend two rooms - the quad has bunk beds. Other than that, an altogether pleasant stay.

To search for the hotel was a little difficult. The location showed on the map does not exactly correspond to actual location but the place is amazing. The view during sunset and at dawn is breathtaking. The staff is very very (in relation to other italian hotel I've been) friendly and speaks very good english. The room (quadrupple) is quite spacious for me and my family. Now that I know where it is, I would definitely stay there again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Fiorita, lovely welcoming hotel with fantastic views across the bay of Sorrento to Vesuvius. Also enjoyed all meals which were reasonably priced and good value for money. We had to rely on local buses for transport which were good and at 1 euro into town again good value but service would be better if more frequent and ran later than 10.00pm. Would be ideal if had own transport. Staff very helpful. A very tranquil retreat after the hustle and bustle of Sorrento.

A beautiful bed and breakfast in a beautiful location, high on a hill overlooking Sorrento. Excellent value for the price. The breakfast is extensive, with coffee, croissants, fruit, cereals, yogurt, etc. Easy to get to once you know what bus to take from the train station in Sorrento. The bus ride is only 1 Euro each way. The hotel desk has bus tickets available. I recommend you have them fax you a bus schedule before you arrive to avoid waiting forever, as it can be confusing as to which bus to take. Hotel was very clean, with good-sized rooms and a bidet and a nice shower, (although the toilet was in the shower for some reason). The hotel restaurant was very good, and their house wine is also worth trying out. Spectacular view of the Bay of Naples, and a short bus ride gets you to the Transvesuviana train in Sorrento, to do Vesuvius, Pompeii, etc. We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Fiorita.

The view is incredible overlooking Sorrento and the Napoli Bay. You would not want to miss the view by staying on the 'garden' side. The price was very fair and the staff very nice. We were so high up that in the early morning you could hear a distant dog bark a mile away. It was very quiet but a car is very helpful and probably necessary. We rented at the Rome airport and drove down. The drive was easy until we hit Sorrento. Be prepared to be passed on both sides of the car by motorbikes! Finding the hotel was very difficult until we learned how the roads worked in the area. Nearby Amalfi Coast was beautiful! Would definitely stay there again.

This is a wonderful, family run hotel. The food was excellent- the evening meals were some of the best we had on our trip. The views from our balcony were spectacular, looking over Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. There is a regular bus service that picks you up outside the hotel and takes you down into Sorrento and we experienced no problems with this. Giovanni arranged a very reasonably priced small hire car for us for a day, which was a lovely way to explore the Amalfi coast. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you would prefer to be up out of the busy town.

We drove from Naples to Sorrento at night and had a little difficulty finding the hotel. We took the first Positano exit and should have turned right at the sign for St Agathe, kept on that road and not turned off for St Agathe and we would have arrived sooner. Once there the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a room overlooking the pool and Sorrento the view was amazing. The hotel restaurant was basic but good. A nearby restaurant will pick you up and drop you off and is also quite good. There are many good places to eat in town. We once used the bus service with no problems but also chose to drive into town. We tried to keep the windows open at night as our room did not have air conditioning (other rooms did) and had a bit of a mosquito problem which interrupted our sleep. It was great to have the pool at the end of a hot day of sight seeing. Capri was very busy with tourists and Pompei was impressive. We drove along the Amalfi coast, a little scary but spectacular views. We spent 4 nights at Villa Fiorita and would definately stay there again. It was great to be frmoved from the business of Sorrento.

The hotel is out of the way but what a nice view. Giovanni and family were wonderful hosts. Their food in the restaurant (breakfst and dinner) was terrific...some of the best we had. ALSO... some other reviews hated Don Pedro restaurant but we went (were chauffered by DP himself) and it was excellent and not a bad value. The SITA buses were as usual, iffy, but they did come, eventually. Otherwise expect to pay 30 E to town.

the views from this hotel are fantastic. breakfast is great; evening meals in the restaurant are ok- not a great choice and no pizza! a big problem for us was the noise at night-time- we could hear everything from rooms up us and next door and even phonecalls taken at reception! A note of warning to anyone thinking of eating in Don Pedro Restaurant down the road- bring plenty of money! A lot of complaints were made about their overcharging, especially their fresh fish! I would sincerely reccommend the small town of Sant Agatha which is 5 mins up the hill on the bus to anyone who wanted to get a feel of authentic italian life. we did find Sorrento very touristy! On the whole though, we enjoyed this hotel and were very impressed with the cleanliness- room cleaned and towels changed every day and new bedding about three times during a 10 night stay!

Very pleased with our choice. We stayed 3 nights and loved the view of Sorrento and the bay from our balcony. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the water at check-in. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was very good and more than adequate. We used the public bus to go into Sorrento and return to the hotel each day. It was very easy and convenient. We bought a bottle of wine each day and enjoyed it from our balcony as the sun went down. We would return again in the future. We walked down to Sorrento via the nearby bridle path. It took 30 minutes and is worth doing once. Would not try to go back up though. Room and bath was very clean,

This was our first trip to Italy and we wish we booked more time at this hotel. We just came off a six day trip in Rome and the country was just what we needed to relax. This hotel is located about 20 minutes up the mountainside from the city of Sorrento. There is a bus that stops right in front of the hotel every hour and costs only 1 euro (most of the time they didn't even collect your ticket). If you don't mind the ride downtown, it's the PERFECT place to stay. The view off of our balcany was BREATHTAKING! The pictures on the web site don't do it true justice, just imagine it more beautiful! Giovani, the owner was the perfect host. He, his wife and another man ran the whole place. I'm not sure when they slept but they were always at our fingertips! There is a small bar outside a lounging room with on line access for a small fee. The restaurant had great food and was reasonable in price. Two other restaurants were close (we prefered Il Borgo) and they pick you up and take you home. There was a pool that was well kept and felt really good after a long day of travel. There was a tour to the "must see" isle of Capri for 28 euros. They picked you up at the front door and drove you to the docks and you took a lovely all day tour of the island with 5 hours of free time and then returned by 5 pm. I highly recommend this one. We were there when Italy won the World Cup! There is a terrace on the top floor where we watched fireworks for hours. A great place to take a bottle of wine and enjoy the sights of Mt. Vesuvius and Naples across the bay. I would return there in a heartbeat! A+++++
