If I could give this hotel more than 10 points for overall excellence, I would. It was a little piece of heaven in Sorrento. I would highly recommend this hotel. You can not beat the price for such luxurious accommodations.

Highly recommended, convenient location a withinh 10 minutes of Sorrento city center, (with a car). Beautifully restored, huge room and nice breakfast area. Very relaxing and peaceful setting overlooking the sea. "Rosa" was as gem, went out of her way to be helpful with local information and printing of boat schedules. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again myself. Good value for the price and nice breakfast. We booked 3 nights(last minute), and liked it so much that we wanted to add another night. When we asked at the reception if any rooms were available, they told us no. I proceded to look online at the free internet provided to guests and was able to book the same room online, we found this strange. Anyway, we were happy to stay another night. That would be the only possible negative comment I could make about this property.

This was the best hotel in our holidays around Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. In fact, we changed plans and stayed longer than we planned at the beginning. The building is located in the middle of olive trees field, with sea views to the west so the sunset is just great from your window. Everything is clean and perfect, also the food and of course the quietness. And only 5 minutes to the center of Sorrento by motorbike. We definetely will come back to this wonderfull place. This hotel is just the country house I always dreamed to have. Perfect and highly recommended!

We were satisfied with our stay in spite of the dirty floors and thousands of ants that invaded our bathroom. Breakfast was good with lots of choices and excellent cafe latte and good service, but stay away from dinner if possible. The pasta was good, but the fish and meats were terrible. My pork chop was grilled on one side and raw on the other - I mean raw, not rare. They have a free shuttle to and from Sorrento, but they won't tell you that - you have to drag the informaiton out of them. Only Marcello speaks enough English to really communicate and he was very willing to help us in every way he could so that our time there would be enjoyable. If you go, take a walk through the lemon and olive groves and down to the beach for lunch.

We stayed in a double superior room and had a wonderful time. The hotel is an old renovated farmers house (very quiet place for Sorrento) and the staff was very welcoming and helpful with information. The hotel is on the edge of Sorrento but the hotel provides shuttle service and the public bus station is approx. 500m away. For us it was a perfect base to explore Sorrento and surroundings.

As with most of Italy, locations off the beaten path can be hard to find. This was the case with Regina Giovanna, for which I was teased mercilessly about using www.hardtofindhotels.com. After we arrived at Regina Giovanna, our party was in heaven and not the least bit put out about our little "treasure" hunt. As the hotel is truly a treasure. The property is wonderful and in an idyllic setting. The staff is wonderful. I wish I never had to leave.

Marcello was an excellent host. Of all the accomodations we stayed in while on our 3 week vacation in Italy this was by far the best. Staff was friendly and courteous and extremely helpful. Very scenic with an ocean view. Amidst 9000 olive trees and 6000 lemon trees. Food at the hotel was excellent and continental breakfast very welcoming. Would highly recommend and would most definitely stay there again.

Hotel Relais Regina Giovanna is a nice property and the staff is outstanding. The only down fall is its far from the main areas of Sorrento and doesn't have ocean views. But for a quiet getaway it's perfect.

First time we stayed there and we will be back. The setting is beautiful, with a fantastic view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The chef (pepe) is a master of simple italian cusine, and the head waiter (giovanni) made every meal a great experience.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Regina Giovanna. We had booked for 3 nights but then decided to stay a week longer. The location is really very nice, in the middle of a vaste citrus orchard, and extremely peaceful. Our room had a lovely view over the sea and was very confortable, with an extra sitting room. All the staff are most helpful and friendly. We had our breakfast and dinner at the Regina Giovanna and can warmly recommend their restaurant. Their cook prepared very delicious meals. We had a totally relaxing holiday at the Regina Giovanna and immediately felt quite at home there. We would love to return soon.
