Hotel Metropole - Sorrento

Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful - in spite of it being the end of the season. The breakfasts were generous and tasty. The views (from seaview rooms) were as good as in the photographs. The walk in to town was generally safe, although the road is quite busy, and the bus stop is conveniently place.

Basic TV only in italian Old swimming pool (green) Staff very nice and efficient Room very clean, and nice terrasse. Breakfast buffet correct for Italy but could be improved.

A nice hotel, very clean, nice staf who was helpfull with parking the car everytime we arrived at the hotel after we have visit several places. Breakfast is every day the same but at home in the Netherlands we also eat very simple breakfast only the juice taste to mutch at water.Overall a nice hotel whit friendly staff.

NICE HOTEL WITH FRIENDLY STAFF AND A NICE RESTAURANT. A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO GET TO TOWN AS IT IS HIGH ON THE HILL ABOVE SORRENTO AND QUITE A WALK TO AND FROM TOWN. NOTHING FANCY ABOUT THE ROOMS BUT VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. THE STAFF WAS ESPECIALLY NICE.

For the price you pay its a great stay and not too far from the water...just ask the receptionist how to get there.

Hotel Metropole offers an excellent location with easy access to Sorrento's center. The beautiful facilities are meticulously clean, with competent personnel at your service. A small forest creates a quiet and soothing environment. I will certainly recommend the hotel to future visitors and will plan my return.

I stayed one week. Excellent. It is really a wonderful place. With an incredible relationship price/quality. I am just afraid, in posting this comment, that next time I will find this hotel completely booked!

The hotel is admittedly a little dated, but in a way this is also part of its charm. Rooms are very italian and very spacious. The town is a 15 minute walk away, with lovely views on the way. If you want modern and clinical, this is probably not the hotel for you. However, the hotel is good value for money with a nice pool and spacious rooms as well as public areas. It could do with freshening up a little, but has got some old fashioned charm as it is.

Different room sizes : room 304 the best with big bathroom, room 303 medium-sized ok, room 307 small and small bath-room The view is marvellous, pleasant swimming pool, efficient staff and delicious dinner for 20 euros p. person We would come again ...

The hotel was in a good location with easy access to town centre. Hotel was very clean, our room had been refurbished with a beautiful bathroom - best shower I have had in a hotel of this standard.Breakfast was adequate, but could have been better.We ate in local restaurants in the evening,of which there are many exceptional ones - but try the back streets rather than the main Corso. Overall good value for money.
