Be warned, this hotel is pretty far from Sorrento and we got stung by a 40 euro taxi ride. It´s definitely worth staying here though because it has stunning views and a lovely swimming pool and solarium. I would recommend that you get the times of the free shuttle bus before you arrive so that you can avoid getting a taxi. The shuttle bus is frequent and it only takes about 15 minutes. The rooms are ok, nothing too special, but clean and spacious. There isn´t a minibar and the shower leaked a lot, but I was pleased with this hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel! Way up on the mountain, overlooking the water. We chose a balcony with sea view, and we weren't disappointed. Although it was hazy (August) and the daytime view was a little obscured, the vista at night was amazing. We could see the nightly fireworks display over in Naples. The hotel staff was excellent and made us feel welcome. The room was lovely, with a beautiful bathroom and adequate space, even with the additional twin bed for our daughter. Breakfast was also good, with lots of choices, made even nicer by the dining room's surroundings. The pool was nice, and the patio had a lovely view of the mountainside. The only negative was that the shuttle bus down into Sorrento stopped running at 10:15 a.m., with a long break until the afternoon, so by the time we finished breakfast, we had to drive ourselves down into the town, and it's a long ride. That said, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We highly recommend this hotel to other travellers. The view is lovely, the facilities are excellent and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and all speak excellent English. We also highly recommend eating at the hotel restaurant. The food and service there are both excellent. Everything about our stay was better than we expected with no awkward or unpleasant surprises.

I lost my camera on the hotel shuttle and it was returned. That says a lot about the character of the employees and of the guests who choose this hotel. Hotel was in extremely beautiful location and provided free shuttle into Sorrento. From the website however, I was under the impression that there was beach access and there was not. Also, the hotel provides dinner, but don't try and split anything. Everyone is charged for the small meal option, even if you attempt to split courses. We had a quadroom.

Our visit to Sorrento was last minute during our stay in Rome. We had never been to Sorrento and the Amalfi coast but had heard many good reports. We searched for hotel on Venere web site from Rome and found La Vue d'Or. We were extremely happy with the hotel. Beautiful surroundings and magnificent view of Naples Bay The rooms and service were great and even with our very limited Italian we had no problems with communications. Since the hotel was some distance up the hills from town, free shuttle is provided. I don't think your web site mentioned that. I would be good to add that as a trip into town could be expensive by cab and not so convenient by bus. (Cab from Circumvesuvio train station in Sorrento to hotel was 50 Euros)

The instruction to find the hotel, not very helpful. Shower poor in morning when lot of people using water. Breakfast reasonable, plenty. Lovely views of the bay (have to pay for view) Hotel provides bus to town, need it to far out. Car park available. We had a crying baby next door otherwsie did not hear our neighbours.

The hotel was difficult to find because the internet link shows a street number not recognised by GPS. Some signage further down the hill from the hotel will alert drivers to "keep going" . Otherwise it was a lovely hotel with spectagular views. First time stay.

Overall the hotel was of a high standard and good value for money. The staff were very friendly, helpful and competent. There was one clear area for improvement and one disadvantage about our room. The evening meal was of poor quality and was very expensive compared with other places in town. Early in the morning the scraping of chairs on the floor of the dining room above our room was very noisy and distracting. This started well before 0700 most mornings.

Cannot really add much to the good things that have already been said about this hotel and we endorse them all. What we can add is that we arrived home feeling relaxed and refreshed after our stay there so La Vue d'Or must take credit in helping us to achieve that. Even the mechanical problems with the shuttle bus did nothing to spoil our holiday as the hotel pulled out all the stops, including family members and staff using their own cars, to ensure that guests were not inconvenienced. This was just one example of the high standard of friendly service we experienced during our stay. It was our first stay at this particular hotel, we have visited the area for over 20 years, and we hope not the last.

We spent a great 7 nights here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very nice hotel kept absolutely spotless. Bar and food prices very reasonable. There is a free shuttle bus to and from Sorrento which runs more or less throughout the day and evening. Poolside is nice and simple and plenty of Brits stay here. We made loads of friends. We had a car so went off to Amalfi coast and Vesuvius/Herculaneum, which, by the way, is better tham Pompei for ruins. You can do all these by public transport so a car isn't really necessary especially as you can't park in Sorrento. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay at the Hotel Vue D'Or again with no misgivings. Views were amazing from our balcony (room 355), rooms could be cooler(even with A/C) but it wasn't a problem as they gave us a fan. Well recommended and away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento although it's nice to go there to eat in the evenings and catch the shuttle back at 10.30pm. Careful though if you've got kids as the bus gets busy and you may have to wait 20 mins for the second run getting you back to the hotel at 11.15pm.

We all loved this hotel although it was farther from Sorrento than we expected. The shuttle bus was very convenient though, and it was well located to use the local bus to see Positano and Amalfi.Dinner in the restaraunt was a fixed price four course meal which didn't work well for our family, but breakfast was great. We really enjoyed relaxing by the swimming pool one afternoon! The staff was great.

Very nice hotel, close from Sorrento and well located to visit the various and famous destinations of Amalfitana coast like Ravello, Positano, Amalfi and Capri but also Pompei and Vesuvio. We recommend "la Marina del Cantone" and its beach for sun and sea bath and its restaurant "la taverna del capitano " to enjoy a romantic dinner .

Very nice hotel. High on a hillside, fantastic views. Private bus in to town worked very well. 15 minute ride. Staff very friendly. Moderately sized room with nice bathroom. Typical European breakfast, good selection and quality. Very peaceful and quiet with roosters crowing in the morning. Well worth the cost. We would stay there again.

A very pleasant and comfortable hotel, which would have been even more enjoyable if the weather had been warmer and we had been able to enjoy the lovely pool area. We took some other reviewer's advice and paid extra to have a room with a view--and we were glad we did. The breakfast and the room it is served in were both exceptionally nice. Other travellers suggested that we were best to eat dinner out as the hotel's food was bland, so we took their advice. I would suggest that you ask the hotel for good in-town restauarants. We didn't and wished we had. The shuttle bus was hugely helpful. For those travelling by car, as we were, the map was inadequate. Be sure to get specific directions as to where to turn right to go up the hill, and how many kilometres it is from that turn off. (Without the latter you might think you had made a mistake as it was a very long way!)Again for those with a car, the hotel has its own very convenient parking lot. Ask for directions if you plan to drive down the Amalfi Coast.

Sorrento was crowded with traffic comparable to a busy city. In contrast however this hotel was a quiet oasis of calm on the mountain above town. Staff were friendly & helpful, a credit to hotel. "Sea view" was a glimpse from side of balcony but view of mountains & town below were fantastic. Breakfast fairly standard but very acceptable, I wouldn`t however recommend the evening meal. Overall we felt we`d made an excellent choice of hotel. Driving in Italy? Don`t even go there!!!!!! Use shuttle bus

Our second visit to this warm and friendly, family-run hotel. We weren't disappointed. The staff even recognised us from last year although they must see many thousands of people per year. Personally, I am not a huge fan of Sorrento itself but I have no doubt we will return to La Vue D'or again, probably for a short visit to round off our holiday as we did this year from Puglia. We recognised a couple from our first visit and they said that they had been visiting the hotel for 20 years - not a bad testimonial. The view from the hotel terrace is simply stunning and if you are lucky enough to get a sea-view room then you will awaken to a backdrop befitting some romantic Hollywood movie, probably starring Sophia Loren and Gregory Peck!! The staff are outstanding, with particular praise going to the head waiter Bartolo and chief barman Angelo. Down side? Well you are probably a bit far out if you prefer the hustle and bustle of the town, but friends to whom we recommended the hotel earlier this year said that this wasn't a problem for them and they ate out every evening.

Gorgeous views. Spacious rooms. Very nice pool. Even nicer hotel than it was shown to be on website. Was difficult to access the first time from the train station. It is far from the city and the shuttle bus was sometimes very crowded. Air conditioner broke one very hot evening. However, even with a few difficulties, the hotel was beautiful; the rooms were spacious, for European style; decks and lobby were very inviting; bathrooms were clean and modern: the view was breathtaking. The sea-view room with balcony is definitely worth the extra cost and we would recommend it to others.

The view is outstanding. The facilities are just as described. The service is good. The pool was clean. It would be nice if they had cable with a few English speaking channels for the kids. Breakfast above average compared to other places we stayed. The local bus is very convienient. We used it to get to town on several occaisions. We had trouble getting back on the local bus because the drop off place (the train station) and the pick up place (the street behind and above the train station)are in 2 different locations (as best we can tell). The hotal shuttle drops you off at the edge of town far from the train station but close to shopping). You would never find the pick up place unless you had been dropped off there at least once. A map of excatly where the pick up place in town is located would be a good addtition the the web site and the hotel info sheet. We took the bus from the hotel to Positano and it worked out great and was only about 3.80 Euro.We took the boat back and it drops you off in the center of Sorrento and you get a great view of the coast. Cabs are expensive (35 Euro) from town to hotel so the shuttle and local bus are a cheap solution and run regularly.

Very nice and calm structure with a beautiful view on the Sorrentina Coast. Free shuttle service as an excellent idea to avoid the use of the car in Sorrento and the problems linked to traffic and car parks. Nevertheless, the price is quite expensive regarding the services provided (refering to the restaurant in HB for instance:tiny portions and no real specialities from southern Italy: when visiting a country we expect to eat local food and Italy is not only "pasta"). Service all orientated to anglo saxon speakers, even for people not being native, not English speakers but trying to speak italian!!! A calm structure intending to remain as it is, more frequentated by senior couple than by families with children (which means possible noise especially when playing in a swimming pool).

Very pleased with the hotel facilities. Very clean and comfortable. Used the complimentary bus service which was very useful. The only down part was the last day when leaving at 7.30am the bus was going to the station with 6 passengers and luggage. We wanted to catch the same train from Sorrento station to Naples for our connection to Rome but was told the bus had been booked and there was no room available. As we were waiting at the bus stop the 19 seater bus went past with obvious room for us and our luggage. The driver could have been more friendly.

It was the first time we had booked a holiday by using the internet and we were worried if the hotel would live up to the expectations on the web site. But,the actual hotel lived up to and beyond our expectations. Whilst the hotel is a little way out of town (25 euros in a taxi), the scenery and the general feel of the place is very relaxing and very welcoming. There is a bus provided by the hotel which takes you to the centre of Sorrento, but be careful it is very punctual and will not wait even a few minutes, but if you do miss it there are plenty public buses that run past the hotel(only 1 euro). The staff at the hotel were brilliant and assisted with information whenever asked. We stayed in one night for a meal in the hotel which was not particulary inspired and a bit expensive, but, there are plenty of places to eat in Sorrento. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone who wants to get away from the hussle and bussle of the town, but also be within 10 minutes of it. However, if you want to be able to walk into the town from the hotel forget it. I would go back to this hotel again, but next time I would spend a little more time lazing around on the patio enjoying the view overlooking the bay.

This hotel is located in the hills above Sorrento. We enjoyed fabulous views in a quiet setting. The room was very clean and modern. The staff was helpful and friendly. The bus to Positano and Amalfi runs right by the hotel. Our only issue was the need to drive or take the bus down to Sorrento for dinner. The hotel provides a price fixe menu that I would pass on if you have other options.

Very nice Hotel. Extremely nice view, terasse/patio and pool. We had a very small room in the new section of the hotel. Flat screen tv on wall. Very nice cold breakfast in the dining room. Bar/lunch and diner available. Big private parking. (I wouldn't return to Sorrento with a car). City bus and hotel shuttle available to downtown, more convenient than car. Excellent suggestions of visits by employees. Possibility to visit Vesuvio and Pompei by train in 1 day. We would return any time!

A very good little hotel high in the hills above Sorrento. Catering towards the English market, the rooms were clean and the bathrooms spotless. We had a large balcony overlooking the front with magnificent views. The hotel shuttle bus is excellent and always on time. Peak bus times are the 9am and 9:30am down to Sorrento and the 17.30pm, 19.30pm and 21.00pm back to the hotel but we never had any problems getting a seat. On one occasion we caught the local bus from a stop just down the road - 1 euro pp and you get the tickets from the hotel and stamp them in the machine as you board the bus. I liked the fact that the hotel was away from the hustle and noise of Sorrento but it only took 10 mins to get there. Breakfast was adequate, the coffee was excellant. We ate dinner once in the hotel [served from 7pm to 8:30pm] and when we went down at 8 a few of the selections had already gone, but the lamb chops I had were excellant. On many other reviews I have read how difficult it is to find the hotel - well - go straight through Sorrento. At certain times of the day you are not able to drive down the main shopping street; if this is the case then turn left and follow this road until you rejoin the sea. Just past the Hotel Cavour there is a junction with lots of white road markings. The main road bends round to the right - take the road that goes straight on - and follow this for 4miles until you reach Don Pedros restaurant - the hotel is just past here. We ate in Don Pedros - very good but quite expensive.

A really lovely Hotel, I'm not sure but I think the hotel must have been just redecorated, everything was very clean and new looking. At first glance from the outside the Hotel does not look anything special, but once inside you change your opinion. Fabulous views and the free mini bus down to town is really handy, the restaurant is fair but not outstanding, but with so many places to eat in town and with the free bus for a lift your better off eating in town.

We drove from Naples airport and at one point thought we may have got lost as the hotel is actually about 15 minutes outside of Sorrento, however the journey was worthwile. The hotel is set on the hillside, with fantastic views over the bay, and mountains. The hotel was very clean and modern, and the staff helpful and friendly, plus you could always get a spot by the pool. The only downside was the food. The breakfast choice was limited, and the one dinner we had, as we stayed on B&B basis, was not very appealing. Sorrento is marvellous, and there are many good restaurants (the Lanterna Due is the best). The hotel offers a free daily shuttle bus, which is great if you don't want to drive all the time. We will definately return, both to the area, and the hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay here. When we arrived they had a vacancy in one of the more expensive rooms with a lovely balcony and they upgraded us for free for our first night which was lovely! The views are truly spectacular and it is just so peaceful. Sorrento is lovely but when you come to this hotel you can escape from it all. The breakfasts are very generous, there was a buffet with juices, bread and crossiants, yoghurts, cereals, selection of cheese and cold meats and coffees. The second morning we did have to wait a long time for our coffee but only because the waiters were so busy. We ate there one evening also,3 courses for 20 euros, the food wasn't fabulous though, but the service was excellent so it made up for it. There is a lovely resstaurant down the road which we ate on the second night, the fish there is fabulous. The hotel is very spacious and the pool area is lovely and clean. I would reccomend anyone staying here, truly relaxing and amazing views. We really did enjoy it and would definitely return again.

La Vue D'Or was superb. The photos on Venere do not do justice to the view from the terraces. It is stunning and covers the whole of the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius as a magnificent backdrop. No need for a sea view room in my opinion as little time is spent in the room itself. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We stayed on a half board basis and found the food to be excellent and plentiful. The waiters, Bartolo and Tonino couldn't have been more accommodating, even to those that wouldn't even attempt a little Italian. They spoke good English, but were more than happy to humour me in my butchery of their mother tongue. One criticism is that the directions on the site are very poor. We came down from Florence by car and it was more by luck than judgement that we found the hotel. It is a good 5km outside Sorrento up in the hills. The hotel shuttle bus was very reliable and we used public transport a lot. However, although everyone got onto the bus while we were there, I could envisage a situation where the bus was over-subscribed and a taxi to/from town was 35 Euros. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would thoroughly recommend it.

The location is far from Sorento and the shuttle is not always convenient. This being said the view is spectacular, the personnel very friendly.

this place is beautiful. Roberto was wonderful, a great host and concierge. The shuttle is definitely necessary, Sorrento is at the bottom, La Vue at the top of a small mountain top. Get a balcony room, it is worth it. Wish the shuttle would have run past 11:30 PM, Sorrento is a great town for doing things at night.

This is an excellent hotel - newly refurbished, friendly staff and a pool. Set in the beautiful hills above Sorrento, it is very peaceful yet has easy access to the busy bustling town below.

What a fabulous family run hotel. The holiday was quiet and restful with not too much noise within the confines of the hotel. The service was exceptional and the food in the restaurant so delicious and very reasonable. Our sea facing room had the most amazing view over Sorrento and the sea towards Vesuvius. The bus which goes to and from the hotel is really handy and we only once needed to use public transport (which is very cheap anyway and only a few metres down the road). It was great being up in the mountains where the temperature was a bit cooler and from a review on this website I knew to ask for a fan as the airconditioning was being repaired in the room. Altogether a wonderful experience and I would definately go again.

Great place to stay with very good owners who spoke very good english, very helpful and friendly. Keep in mind this location is about 20- 25 minutes out of Sorrento- they do have shuttle service & bus stops close by. A cab will cost you around $25- $30Euro's each way. The view was outstanding, the pool very nice and the restaurant was good for breakfast and even dinner. A very modern styled room- very spacious. Would stay again and highly recommend. Internet service in Lobby.

La Vue D'Or qualifies more as a resort than a hotel. Beautiful place away from the tourist traps of Sorrento. However, that may constitute the biggest inconvenience of this place: although the adress states Sorrento, it is 5Km away from the center, up in the mountain. It's closer to the Santa Agatha village than to Sorrento. And when you're trying to look for the place at midnight & you realize that streets don't have names, you're in for some fun... The hotel offers a shuttle bus service (unadvertised), for early morning or late evening trips; it's highly recommended to leave your car at their parking, because finding a spot in the city is not an easy task. Unfortunately, the shuttle bus was often too small to hold all the guests. Another bugger was that the pool closes at 7pm. Bring your own towels!!! (room towels not allowed & they will charge you 1.50EUR for renting some). Breakfast was included, buffet, very abundant, good, nothing extra-ordinary. Overall very relaxing & beautiful place, except for the shuttle bus issue.

Had a wonderful time here. The views from the hotel are truly beautiful. The shuttle bus and service bus into Sorrento are quite adequate for taking you into a busy place but it's so nice to be away from it all up in the hills.

absolutely beautiful. we were the very first to stay in the new rooms which are great. the dinner (20 euros) is pricey but good. good shuttle service to town (which is much needed) friendly english speaking staff. we will definetely stay here again. Beware of the bus trip to the hotel. SETA bus company has very few buses that run, so if you miss one it might be awhile till the next one. Horrible experience to be sitting on the sidewalk with your luggage for 2 hours, like we did

This hotel was fabulous! We were lucky enough to be upgraded on our arrival to the appartment suite which was brand new , sparkling clean and equipped with a spa bath and sea view balcony! Reception was really friendly and helpful even tho our italian is rubbish. The breakfast was a good selection but not quite to my taste but then I am very fussy! The pool and solarium were great, the bus service definitely needed but very good none the less. We had a really fantastic trip and I really couldn't fault the hotel or this website. It was the first time we had used venere and I was a bit dubious that they didn't take the money and that the room would be reserved as expected but I needn't have worried, it was great. I was planning to go to Ireland for our family holiday in August but I'm now looking to return to Sorrento and the Hotel Vue D'or. I really do highly recommend this hotel!!

Unfortunately we didn't know that the hotel was under renovation during our stay; however, the finished product will likely be quite beautiful. The breakfast was mediocre - would have been nice to have day-to-day variety/options. Staff was generally polite but a bit disorganized and not overly helpful. On a high positive note, the free shuttle service to/from Sorrento was great!

What was really good was the kindness of the staff and the sunterras with faboulous view! We booked this 3 star hotel at €120/day while we could book a 4 star hotel at €60/day because of the good reviews and the pictures. The hotel was excellent but still a 3 star hotel. I think the price we paid was too high (as it was low season and we paid the maximum for the room). The view is great however it is not really worthwhile booking a more expensive room with seaview as the windows are small.

The hotel is about 5 km distance from the town and is ideal for those that have a car. The local bus stops about 1 -1 1/2 km below the hotel, so without a car walking is involved. The staff was pleasant and efficient. The view from our seaview room was magnificant. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening and the food was excellent. The menu offered a 19 Euro dinner which included three courses and desert. The breakfast was delicious and, while offering no hot items, offered a great many selections that would satisfy most everyone. I would stay there again if I returned to Sorrento.

We booked this hotel after reading all the previous reviews on Venere.com. If you like what you see in the general description then go ahead and book this hotel. We stayed for 3 days and will recommend this hotel to anyone that does not mind staying a bit outside the main town. (My personal opinion is that it was nice to find a bit of piece and quiet after visiting all the tourist attractions) The hotel staff is really as friendly as everybody said.

The warm friendly welcome we received on arriving was excellent & all the staff were very helpful & obliging. The room we requested had a spectacular view over the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius in the background. Our only small criticisms was the standard of towels in the bathroom. Also if you missed the 9.00pm courtesy bus back to the hotel, the next one was not until 11.30! Otherwise I thoroughly recommend La Vue d'Or as a top class place to stay. Would return again without question.Good value for money too.

we had an amzing holiday! it is fantastic sorrento is amazing! whether you are young or old single or a couple its brilliant! this hotel is quality. It is situated 6km by roadf from sorrento which is about 3 miles, yet as the crow flys its only about 1 mile. the hotel is protruding out of the cliffs so you get amazing views. the hotel was warm and friendly and was perfect. the courtesy bus means you are close to the culture, fashion shops, beaches, the train to rome/naples/pompei. but also you get the peace and quiet for a good nights sleep that you only get out of town. the hotel is situated in orange/lemon groves and the road to the hotel is laced with olive groves and grape vines. The public busses in this part of italy are flawless and run every 30 mins ish and cost about 57p for each hour travelled. the trains are equally good. all in all this hotel is a fantastic base for anyone, i would reccomend it

Views from the hotel are stunning. The best balcony view we have had to date. The staff are very helpful. The courtesy bus is prompt and reliable and very much needed! The pool is fine but closes after 6pm. We found that the only negative aspects were that the courtesy bus does not run all day and you must plan your time around this although the public bus stops outside, the safety deposit box is located at the front desk, and is not accessible before 5pm, also non of the rooms are air conditioned, but fans are available on request. Overall we had a pleasant stay and have fond memories of this family run hotel.

Hotel was very good with a beautiful view but had to keep asking at reception for information, an informatin pack in the room would be an advantage giving info such as the locations of beaches and good restaurants. also a bus pick up mid afternoon in town between 12:30 and 5:30 would be anadvantage

If you want a good location out of Sorrento with nice views from the mountains then this hotel could be for you. However if you are looking for more than just basic accomodation then perhaps think again. We checked out early as our shower didn't work - it was just a trickle of water, not what you want when it is really hot weather (and the bath seemed to be covered in something abrasive, so not a good alternative). We got very little sleep due to constant noise from barking dogs, a crowing rooster (from 3am) and the heat (no air-con, so had to have the doors open). For the cost, we expected the rooms to be of a higher standard. The restaurant had a set meal for €19 which was excellent value and was really tasty and the very reasonable breakfast buffet was included in the room price. Both dinner and breakfast were served by a very friendly waiter.

Although being several miles outside downtown Sorrento, We found this hotel to be what we were looking for. The Hotel Owner and her family were extremely helpful, particularly whe a member of our family was injured in a fall. The Dining Room offered a very good (although repetitious) breakfast which was included in the cost of the room; It also served dinner for those who didn't wish to eat out. Our waiter, Bartolo, just couldn't do enough to make our dining experience completely satisfying ( at a very good price). Lastly, the view from our terrace facing the blue waters of the Bay of Naples was breathtaking and it was worth the trip to this hotel.

We received an excellent welcome from ALL members of the staff which made our Holiday in Sorrento very memorable. It was our intention to use the hotel solely as a base and eat out most evenings. We ate in the Restaurant the 1st night and only ate out once in the 7 days we stopped at the Hotel. The hotel may be only 3 Stars but the Restaurant was certainly 4 Star Plus due to Quality, Service and Value for money. We would heartily recommend anyone to the Hotel who is looking for Excellent Service, Quality, Value for money and a Warm Welcome.

This was a really wonderful hotel in a beautiful setting overlooking the Amalfi coast. The service was great, food was really good and the pool was refreshing and much needed for the very warm temps in July! My partner & I had an excellent stay at La Vue D'or. having booked online I wasn't sure what to expect, but if I ever went to the Sorrento area again, I would definitely stay there. Great location overlooking the Bay of Naples with Versuvius in the background, quiet and very relaxing. No one bothered us the entire stay, it was just what we needed. You don't need a car, but to explore the area it's best to do so, but driving in Italy is not for the faint-hearted so bear that in mind. I just wish we had more time to explore the coast, but a trip down the Amalfi coatline is a must after the rewarding, but tiring days at Pompeii and Versuvius. A day relaxing around the pool is a must as well. For the extra few pounds, go for the sea-view rooms. You won't regret it.
